It's no great surprise that P.R. has straight-up ripped Sentai off, but it varies from the minor to the extreme. Zeo is in NO FRIGGIN WAY a copy-and-paste of Ohranger! The two are so vastly different from each other that I'm semi-surprised that Ohranger was even adapted at all. |
What is with all these weird users lately? Just dropping by and leaving random comments and not elaborating on what they mean.

I’m beginning to think some of them have some kind of disorder.

Both Oh and Zeo teams had fought the Machine Empire.

Spoilers for Ohranger and Zeo abound! Ohranger is predicated on an ancient Earth power being unearthed and sourced by a military organization. Zeo is about an ancient Outer Space power being recovered and sourced by a floating head and teenagers. Baranoia is about machines from space (but with an Emperor who was actually made on Earth) coming to conquer the Earth cause they have something of a god complex and view themselves as better than humans. The Machine Empire's origins are subject to debate, but they predominately come to Earth to conquer it and use its resources for their army and while there isn't an overt god complex against humans, one could say there is a sub-textual one. Red Puncher was made long before Baranoia formally invaded Earth and resulted in the death of its original pilot. Red Battlezord was newly created during the Machine Empire invasion and didn't kill Tommy. Riki, Dorin, and Paku have ties to the Earth and were essential in driving the Emperor from Pangea. Trey of Triforia has no immediate allies in his mission, no ties to the Earth prior to Zeo, and we aren't informed of his prior exploits against the Empire (if there are any at all). The Blocker Robos were made by the military commander to use as a Trojan Horse. The Super Zeo Zords have ill-defined origins from deep space and were used only in battle and not as a deception. The Emperor is presumed dead after grasping a sword he has no prior history with, while Mondo is heavily damaged and rendered temporarily inoperable due to grasping a sword he has history with. Bomber the Great is a disgraced former member of Baranoia who failed at taking over Baranoia in the past and only leaves Buldont alive to satisfy succession requirements before he blows him up! Louie Kaboom's origins aren't directly tied to the Empire, but he tries to take over in the present in a "bloodless" coup without trying to kill Sprocket cause the Empire has no succession rules apparently. Buldont marries his cousin after being empowered by his Father's energy reserves and seeking revenge on Bomber the Great to honor his own desire for revenge and his parent's wishes. Gasket is a disgraced older son and brother to Sprocket who married the daughter of his Father's never-before-seen rival and who has Louie Kaboom sent to his doom cause Machina was desperate. Ohranger and Kakuranger team-up in a special which makes absolutely no sense in terms of continuity! Zeo and the Rangers of Aquitar team-up in a two-parter which astonishingly makes more sense in terms of continuity. Baranoia conquers Earth for six months and lays waste to it with an untold number of off-screen human deaths without its original Emperor. The Machine Empire never conquers Earth or subjugates humanity even though Mondo returns. Hysteria is protective of her grandson. Machina is never given a grandson that we know of. Buldont and his wife die despite threatening human babies in a manner that makes Hysteria cringe. Gasket and Archerina don't threaten babies, defeated explosively, and flee from a rebuilt daddy without upsetting Machina directly. Hysteria defies the Ohranger's belief, at gunpoint, that Baranoia couldn't learn the capacity for love when she commits suicide to save her grandchild! Machina is temporarily damaged from being blown-up by a trick present and never seems to learn what it means for humans to love each other cause she doesn't have an obvious grandchild and is turned to sand years after the Empire's failed invasion of Earth. I really can't see the similarities between the two! |
no no, you see, the mere FACT that they use the same villains from the same footage MUST MEAN that they're copies
