new Beast Morphers episodes beginning September 14
|
Wait, I'm confused. Isn't all Power Ranger news (toys aside) supposed to be at PwrRngr.com?
|
Congratulations Nick. Your shitty hiatus made me lose interest in Beast Morphers.

I'm interested, why do you have a "love-hate relationship" with the franchise?
As for me, I'm stuck at episode 16 of Beast Morphers...it's the first Power Rangers series I'm watching after Time Force...in 2001.... I kinda like it....kinda.... |
so far beast morphers is like, the tightest written power rangers season in a long while honestly
|
All characters have their own personality.
And they all do serve a purpose in the narration. Also, it's the characters that drive the narration and not the contrary. I find that some of the plans cooked up by the avatars were actually well thought, it's just that there's always something fucking up their plans. x) |
About time. The brakes need to end. They need to do more then 22 ep's a season.
|
Is their a limit to the number of episodes that Hasbro can broadcast on hu? Nick? And why?
|
I am still waiting for it to hit Netflix. I am painfully getting through Ninja Fart Steel.

Oh, ok, well since I've skipped the Disney and Neo Saban era, I don't know the pain you've been through. ><
I'm just watching it so that I know if I want to invest myself back into Power Rangers or not. |

Evox hasn't felt like a threat yet for me

So far the newer episodes remind me of MMPR filler episodes, which I am not liking. Also hate the "comedy" duo and their father.

One episode Gold is shown to be upset with Steel when he goes to play Basketball with the others. Only because Gold doesn't know how to play basketball and is embarrassed by it. Don't care about spoiling that episode. Some of the episodes have been making me cringe enough where it makes it difficult for me to watch the episode. |

the one you just mentioned was really good because it explored both steel and nate's characters pretty well, and officially made steel the best character in the show |
Well, I have trouble with the comical duo aswell...but they kinda do have a purpose so they'll get a pass here.
As for Gold being all pissy...I'm not mad at that, humans tend to REALLY REALLY behave strangely. I mean, I know someone who is proud enough of himself and behaved that way with his brother because that brother tried to learn something with someone the guy didn't know how to . That behavior is pretty douchy, but totally humanlike. |

Will agree that Steel is so far the better character. |

I get pretty pissy when it comes to playing basketball. It's a sport I really like to play but I am not all that great at it for various reasons. I hate playing with skilled athletes. It makes me feel inferior when people better at the sport challenge me because it's no competition, and I just want to play for fun; they want to play to win. I can totally see why gold would get upset about his friend playing basketball when he can't. You want to do an activity with friends you can all enjoy.
|
If anything it's actually a more nuanced moral than we usually get from these shows. It's not the typical "nerd doesn't like sport, must learn to like sport" rubbish trope that usually gets thrown out, it's more about an inferiority complex and a fear of being left out. I hope PR does more stuff like this.
