Well, I’ve fully fleshed out the concepts for my monster types in Qidenger
Vorjuu: Calam’s monster of choice. Mindless beasts from the Vordos Dimension, they are based on mythical creatures from Earth’s mythology. Some of them take on a more monstrous form when they are enlarged. Bukikai: Megaro’s monster of choice, created by making a robot from data on an object that he believes could potentially destroy the Earth. As the story progresses, the objects become less and less threatening. Kanjin: The monster of choice used by Gelashi. Created when a human with a strong emotional state eats her cursed gelato, turning them into a monster based on that emotional state. This process is reversed when the monster is defeated while calmed down. I just need ideas, since I have two for every type except for the Kanjin, where I have one. And my second Vorjuu is just the first one with mechanical limbs added. |
i know we need share our own ideas but, do you guys have any ideas to my Military-themed sentai like villains, mechas, arsenal and plot ?

As for vehicles, I’d go for a missile convoy, a tank, a jeep, a helicopter and a fighter jet. Not sure what a sixth ranger would use. |
Depending on how the sixth relates to the rest of the team, either a battleship or a stealth bomber could be good.

This idea was cooked up after reading some comic and thought it had a decent idea for a Sentai. Of aliens crashing down to earth on falling stars!
Eikyo Sentai Gigaman (Eikyo roughly translates to 'impact', according to Google Translate) OR Power Rangers: Cosmos! (Because 'Lost Galaxy' was taken.) Theme/Motif: Space/Animals/Gladiatorial Combat(?)/Space(?) Crashing to Earth was a series of meteor showers, scientist found they were engraved with some odd symbols. Governments disregard it as just nothing. Even if it was some kind of alien language, how could they read it? Cue our 5 random protagonists that happen to be near one of these fallen rocks that is on display in their town. Somehow, one of our heroes looks over the engravings and manages to read it. "Change." The rock hatches like an egg and out comes our first alien-an anthropomorphic lion who explains that these meteors are pods, housing them and powerful weapons from his home world, in order to keep them safe from the tyrannical force that has killed their father and plans on ruling the galaxy! Now that he's released, he can be tracked and our heroes had inadvertently brought conflict to Earth! The Lion Prince had hoped that he would've been awakened by Earth's governments so he could seek help from their greatest warriors. Not a bunch of random 20-somethings. But this is the best he has to work with, so he gifts them with their Morphers-which would be handheld devices (think something like a gameboy color or something) that turn them into the Gigaman! GigaRed: Team Leader; The one who had awakened our Lion in the first place. He's a good-hearted fellow who tends to crack jokes. Doesn't take the conflict as serious as he should-at least until he gets his teeth kicked in by the first High-Level Mook of the alien invaders. He still keeps his jovial nature, but learns when it's time to get serious. Lion and Red both learn how to become proper leaders in their own right. His main weapon is a sword. GigaBlue: Team Lancer; Moody, sluggish, and is the one who usually keeps Red, and the rest of the team, grounded. Will have some kind of oral fixation (can't have smoking, it's a kid show, will probably be replaced with gum or something) and will have a past history of being full-on depression before Red pulled him out of it. Will have a brother-like relationship with Lion Prince and help him find his courage/make him regain his confidence in his position as Prince. His main weapon is a bow. GigaBlack: Team Heart (Wait, it's not pink? What???); Is the youngest of the team. Is always in Red's shadow-even Red knows it and tries to push Black to stand on his own. His episodes revolve around him either learning to stand on his own and see his own strengths or helping the other Rangers see eye-to-eye. His main weapon is a shield. GigaYellow: Team Smart Guy; takes to the alien technology like a fish to water and is always tinkering with them-much to the dismay of our Prince. He seems himself as 'too cool to care' and thinks he knows better than the others. His episodes usually revolve around him either getting in over his head or something he build backfiring and he needs to fix it. Something new isn't always something better or some such. His main weapon would be a pair of blasters. GigaPink: Team Muscle; He's particularly hard edged and seems to constantly oppose Red at first. He's closed off and, while part of the team, still clashes with the others. (The Prince will often question this, but Red will always assure him that he's their friend-even if he doesn't act like it.) Cue episodes where he learns to open up and, will still having a quick fuse, will be quick to action. His main weapon is a hammer. I feel the Gigamen should have animal motifs of their own, but don't really know what they'd be.I also referred to them as male for simplicity's sake. Really, they can be any gender. The villains-of-the-week are various anthropomorphic animals, with the main villain essentially being an Elephant Man. They're trying to capture the various meteorites to get the mcguffin out of them. The Mcguffins will usually be Mechas or Weapons-or maybe both, I don't quite know. But whatever it is, if they're not after them, they're after the Prince and will try to draw out the Ranger by causing chaos to get to him. And, obviously, the Mechs follow the animal themeing, but not sure what they'd be. I originally wrote they'd be Lions that form the giant mech, but that's a totally different show. |
I was reading a liveblog of someone who shall not be named’s really atrocious adaptation of Shinkenger into a Power Rangers shown(for reference, most of the characters are racist, sexist or just plain unlikeable, the one who isn’t is incredibly flat, the plots are just copy pasted of Shinkenger synopsis with the names barely changed, the guy casts Emma Roberts as an Asian girl, the dude makes the same non-existent comparisons that were controversial in another of his fics and some elements from Maskman are shoehorned in needlessly. It basically makes Samurai’s good points stand out more). And the live-blogger suggested the idea of a Ranger team composed of monsters from the same group as the one they fight (mostly because the author cut out that aspect from Act 20 of Shinkenger in favour of the Rangers moping and the aforementioned controversial comparison). I don’t know where to go with that idea, but can anyone come up with something?

I like it! It reminds me a little of Kamen Rider OOO.
|
I think this is a really cool idea, honestly! Giving each Ranger two animal motifs they can swap between could make for interesting fights!
|
I like the idea as well though perhaps the motifs should be more varied. Red bein based on a Lion and Tiger... sounds more like some Liger or Tigon motif rather than 2 animals. Sure he's got a lion and tiger mecha but what are the combat differences between the lion and tiger modes? I'm going to assume each mode has its own weapon but beyond that feels like they'd be minimal differences. Blue's shark and wolf modes are agreat example of more diverse motifs I could see blue's shark mode being key in defeating some monster that is lurking on the bottom of a lake or something since logically shark mode would be suited for aquatic combat(not that it would come up too often)
Pink's Owl mode could have night vision functions making it more suitable for spotting some enemy hiding in the dark(or even a small enemy since certain owls are great at spotting small prey) |

Rika Sentai Tensaiger (Science Team Genius-ger) The Tensaiger are a group of scientists who were recruited by the secretive Dr. R. to fight against mysterious monsters called Genju (a Japanese word for "cryptid"), which vaguely resemble animals but have abilities that seem impossible and are instinctively hostile to humans. The Tensaigers study each Genju to figure out how to defeat it, while also trying to solve the greater mystery of where they came from and why they attack humans. They also have to contend with Okabe Corp, a biotech corporation that wants to use Genju for their own sinister purposes. Similar to the Kyurangers, more Tensaigers would be recruited over the course of the series and different groups would go on each mission, but instead of being determined randomly Dr. R. would pick the ones who seem best suited for the mission based on what they already know about the Genju. - The Explosive Scientist, Tensai Red! A chemist and former teacher, normally calm but prone to outbursts when he gets excited or angry. He has a habit of saying "Take notes!" before saying something important. His leadership skills get him assigned to most missions even if they don't involve chemistry. - The Stormy Scientist, Tensai Blue! A meteorologist and former weather girl with a fierce temper, who hates being treated as just a pretty face, she's also the team's most skilled fighter. - The Driven Scientist, Tensai Orange! An engineer who works on the Tensaiger's equipment, he's stoic and unemotional, causing the others to joke about him being a robot. - The Rock-Solid Scientist, Tensai Yellow! A geologist and self-styled "treasure hunter," she's a cunning strategist but can be un-heroically ruthless sometimes. - The Mental Scientist, Tensai Violet! A neuroscientist and psychology who doesn't like conflict and tries to help the whole team get along, even if he has to manipulate them to do it. - The Wild Scientist, Tensai Green! A biologist and environmental activist, who's spent so long in the wild that she has trouble fitting in with human society. - The Starstruck Scientist, Tensai Cyan! An astronomer who manages a satellite the team uses to communicate and detect Genju, he's the most focused on the mystery of the Genjus' origins. - The Healing Scientist, Tensai Pink! A medical doctor who manages to stay positive no matter how bad things get, and prefers to focus on saving civilians while her teammates fight. - The team's true "sixth ranger" is The Mysterious Scientist, Tensai Black! A human with Genju powers and who knows more about them than anyone else, he first appears as an antihero using a prototype Tensaiger suit, who is mistrustful of humans in general and has some kind of vendetta against Dr. R. and Okabe Corp. When Tensai Red is subjected to an Okabe Corp experiment and starts mutating into a Genju as well, Tensai Black helps him get his powers under control and unlock his super mode, Brilliant Tensai Red! I haven't thought much about what their mecha are, because honestly I've gotten kinda bored with Sentai mecha. With so many members, the mecha should probably be interchangeable in some way, and it would be cool if the whole team together made multiple combined robos. Maybe Red, Orange and Black would each have a mech that formed legs and a torso, while the other members' mecha formed swappable arms. The Genju are, in fact, normal animals, mutated by an experimental process Dr. R. created and then lost control over. He also exposed each of the Tensaigers to smaller doses of this mutation, giving them powers too subtle to be used on their own but enough to enable their mecha and other equipment to do otherwise impossible things. |
I have an idea for a Super Sentai Crossover.
Theme/Motif: Transformers Team Name: Cybertron Sentai ???ranger or ???ger Rangers: A group of Dimensional Scientists along with the Transformers themselves. Morpher/Changer/Henshin Device: Weapons: Arsenal: Mecha/Zords: Combined Mecha/Megazords: Allies: Villians: The Cult of Unicron: A group of Villains trying to bring Unicron to the World of Tokusatsu so he can take it over. Monsters: The Idea behind this is that a Group of Transformers Fans who are also Dimensional Research Scientists are researching Cybertronian Technology with the hopes that they could use that Cybertronian Technology to benefit humanity. However, as they are doing tests, suddenly the Villains of the Series break in. They try to take the technology for themselves, but because the portals between the Transformers Dimensions are still open, it causes the portals to rupture Space and Time. It sucks Transformers from pretty much all continuities into the World of Tokusatsu. From G1, Beast Wars, the Unicron Trilogy, Everywhere. G1 Megatron, G1 Optimus Prime, G1 Starscream, and G1 Ultra Magnus all are transported to the Dimensional Scientists' Lab. The problem is, they lost their ability to transform into their alternate modes. Thus, the Dimensional Scientists created Special changers that allow for the Transformers to Transform again, but only when in the presence of the Dimensional Research Scientists. Each of the "Rangers" get forms based upon the Transformers and are equipped with human-scaled versions of their main weapons. Each of the Mecha are based upon the Transformers' alternate modes and don't have separate Robot Modes. The Dimensional Research Scientists act like G1 Headmasters and become the Heads of the Combined Mode. It would be cool to see Hasbro, TakaraTomy, Toei, and BandaiNamco working together. Hasbro and TakaraTomy could get tips from BandaiNamco into how to work gimmicks better into their figures and BandaiNamco could get tips from Hasbro and TakaraTomy into making the toys more posable in Robot/Combined Mode. |
Since the dinosaurs, I so wanna see prehistoric beasts this time!

That'd be an interesting sentai. I'd prolly swap dodo and Smilodon around just for a 3rd color of saber toothed cat... I totally get black and yellow being nods to Zyuranger/MMPR though.

It's not easy. That goes for a number of good beasts to choose. Along with zords. |

I mean nothing against stuff like Gaoranger's red ranger lion and such- but then you step back and it does feel like certain color combo/themes get recycled for what seems like no reason other than because they used it before. Blue being a water creature nothing wrong with that... we've had Dolphin, Shark, Dolphin, Shark... Why not give blue a whale? Or blue octopus? Jellyfish mecha anyone? Sun vulcan, Gaoranger, Goseiger, and Zyuohger all used blue shark. While Liveman and Hurricanger went for blue dolphin- luckily we had a few shakes like Birca being green in Go-Onger, and i mean we did get a blue whale mecha without a ranger but still... it'd be nice to see some more variety I feel. I agree its hard to decide ona good blend and some of it i'm sure is likely decided when designing the mecha and suits. Like OK we want these 5 animals... go through a dozen suit designs find the right general lay out try various colors to see which looks best while also figuring out which part goes where in the mecha, how much o the color do ou want seen- if the mammoth is the chest having a big pink torso might look funky, a mostly black body is probably a safer bet. But yeah a blue mammoth or red mammoth would also feel a lil silly I just feel with pink and yellow on a team giving yellow the bird and pink the big cat would be a nice change of pace since I feel Pink often seems to get stuck with whatever creature has wings. |

The Braveman giant robot name is called Bravekaiser.

I have another Sentai in mind, like a new samurai Sentai since Shinkenger.
Instead of a whole clan, there’ll be rangers from different clans united. Inspired by Robin Warriors, Battle Spirits: Burning Soul, Sengoku Basara and Musou. Rangers (named after historical samurai)
Villains:

The Braveman carrier mecha Bravenazca is based from Super-X2/X3 of Godzilla film series.

Here's an idea, drawing heavily from Promare and trying not to rip off Rescue Fire too much:
"The blazing firefighter, Kaen Red! The rescue firefighter, Kaen Pink! The powerful firefighter, Kaen Orange! The science firefighter, Kaen Yellow! Hearts burning hotter than any flame! Shoboushi Sentai Kaenger!" (Firefighter Sentai Flame-ger) In the near future, humans began to combust into flaming monsters called Burningen, seemingly at random. In response, an enigmatic scientist assembled an elite team of firefighters, the Kaengers, who use special weapons to extinguish Burningen and return them to normal. They also have to face the secret society Volcano, Burningen with control over their powers, and the tech company Fubuki, who seek to study Burningen for their own ends. Instead of a traditional sixth ranger, both Volcano and Fubuki have their own extra heroes, who are sometimes allies and sometimes enemies to the Kaengers. From Volcano, one who's mastered his Burningen powers enough to become an armored warrior instead of a monster: "I'll roar like a wildfire! Burning Dragon!" (green) From Fubuki, the first prototype of the corporation's attempt to make their own counterpart to the Kaenger system: "Justice at absolute zero! Koriger Zero!" (blue) |

I also imagine both Siren Fire and Kaen Red's super forms having similar fire-chief-themed super forms, and their mecha Sirenjin and Kaenjin are both plays on the word "engine" as in a fire engine! So it could be really cool to see them both together. |
Thought I'd throw a Sentai theme here to go along with Kamen Rider Royal.
"Taking flight in the dead of night, banishing those who threaten the light!" Kyuuketsuki Sentai Vladranger (Vampire Sentai Vladranger) -"The fangs of the night skies!" Vladred: Bat motif. Uses sword. -"The howling mad beast!" Vladblue: Wolf motif. Uses claws. -"The swift silent assassin!" Vladgreen: Snake motif. Uses whip. -"The drifting striker!" Vladpink: Moth motif. Uses gun. -"The soaring destroyer!" Vladblack: Hawk motif. Uses axe. -6th Ranger possibly based on a Vampire Hunter. -Story: Vampires, creatures of legends in Europe, have been sighted appearing all across the world, but were defeated by a league of Vampire Hunters. Or at least, they were thought... Five youths in Japan fall into a coma and awaken under the light of a full moon where they're greeted by a messenger who tells them they have been turned into Vampires to revive the great Vampire Lord, and restore their authority to this world. The youths, questioning their sudden predicament, ask to learn more of their reason for being chosen, learn that at night, they have incredible powers that allow them to fight the Bloodzark, creatures created by the rival Vampire Counts in a bid to gain control for themselves, leading them to become Vampire warriors. However, the youths don't want to be resigned to their fate and work to find a cure for themselves, while attempting to thwart the Vampire Counts. The story features numerous Vampire factions against a group of Vampire Hunters and the Vladrangers, who must survive the two's conflict while trying to find a cure to their curse. |
Weird parody idea for a Super Sentai series, but I've always wanted a Super Sentai series themed after an office workplace. To spice things up a bit, the Sentai team working there are ninjas who seek to protect their workplace form being bought by Piggy Inc., a greedy corporation who sends out monsters to damage other smaller companies so as to lower their costs and then buy them out. I call it:
Sokuninja Sentai Employger Soku is the japanese term for work. Employee Red: His main weapon is scissors blades. Employee Blue: Her main weapon is a stapler blaster. Employee Yellow: His main weapon is a pen spear. The main trio and interns at Smalltime Company, dedicated towards protecting their employees. Employee Thunder: Her main weapon is a paperclip claw. Employee Wave: His main weapon is a holepunch crossbow. Two veterans who become Employgers mainly for the money. They are very competitive, and loving pranking CEOs. Employee Blazing: Her main weapon is a tablet sword. The CEO of Smalltime Compnay, who wishes to revolutionize the company to ensure equality and fairness to all, an ideal which clashes with Piggy Inc. She serves as the mentor of the trio Employgers, and later on becomes one herself. RoleCall: "List of rules to follow!" "Rule 1: Always respect your peers! Employee Red!" "Rule 2: Make sure to organize! Employee Blue!" "Rule 3: Always clean up when you're done working! Employee Yellow!" "Thunder Rule: Make sure to strike at a problem before it can grow. Employee Thunder!" "Wave Rule: Always hide personal information from corporate dogs. Employee Wave!" "Blazing Rule: Make sure to treat all situations with fair and unbiased judgement. Employee Blazing!" "The employees working for office safety and fairness, 24/7!" "Sokuninja Sentai! Employger~!" Weapons: Employ Changers: Cellphones that serve as Employee Red, Blue, and Yellow's morphers. They are smartphones that activate via inserting the Hidden IDs into the screen and then tracing the symbol on it. They can also shift into a pen form. Employ X Morphers: Cellphones that are Employee Thunder, Wave, and Blazing's morphers. They are flip phones that activate via inserting the Hidden IDs into the top screen and then inputting in the code. They can also shift into a blaster form. Employ Destructo Beam: Cannon used for final attack. Summoned after paying 500 Yen into the Employ Changers/Employ X Morphers. Attack strength icnreases based on the amount of money paid, though it can also increase via the Employger's own bonds. Storylines would focus on the various day-to-day struggles of working in a company with actual ethics, dealing with the occasional financial struggles and the constant fight with larger companies vying for monopalies. |
I just wanna say, it's so cool noticing overlap between the ideas we come up with, it reminds me of how Sentai has a few recurring motifs that they keep coming back to :D
And Vladranger inspired me to share some concept art I whipped up for Kowai Sentai Monstranger (made with a dollmaker because drawing is hard). It's still not finished, I haven't made their transformation devices yet (cell phones for Red, Yellow and Pink, wrist devices for Blue and Green), plus I feel like I could give the chest parts of their suits more flare and design their high collars more elegantly. I'm also not sure whether the "glowing eyes" should be a permanent part of their helmets or only appear when they transform. But anyway, this is the general idea: https://images-wixmp-ed30a86b8c4ca88...V0lCde2vxkBZzU |
So, this started as a joke with my friend and it turned into a legit idea for a Sentai/Ranger series I'd actually like to see. It would probably start off as a parody series in tone before it slowly built up into something more series.
Thunder Sentai Hyperman (Thunder Squadron Hyperman-yeah, it's pretty straightforward.) OR Power Rangers Thunder Force! Cause Hyperforce is already a thing... The series would follow our heroes, a group of slackers. They cut class, read manga, and goof off without any real aspirations. But, worst of all, they spend all their time watching...Super Sentai and letting their lives pass them by! Their teachers are usually annoyed with them, their at the bottom rung with their classmates, and their family lives aren't much better. But, hey, they have each other, so who cares what they think! But then, just like in their shows, boom! Monsters start appearing out of nowhere! With seemingly no source. And one of them tries to eat an alley cat that "Red" ends up running into. For better or worse, our teen heroes try to fight and stop this monster before it can do any harm! And they get their tails kicked. But then, their cellphones begin to shimmer brightly and a mysterious app appears. "Time To Go HYPER!" And after pressing the app, they properly transform into rangers! So, before moving forward, let's talk more about the show's themes: Our 'Slacker Rangers' are all teens who have dreams for their future, but have given up on them. Through a mix of various traumas and incidents, they don't believe they have a future and have already given up. The monsters are the creation of a drug called...'EX-Factor' (cause I couldn't think of a better name), usually given to people down on their luck. After injecting themselves, they gain what they wanted most, at the cost of becoming grotesque monsters that give into their greed and desires. The overall theme of this series would be hope. Losing hope, giving up on hope, falling into despair, and then finding that hope again and taking your life back! Thunder Red: The loudest of the group. Only the "leader" because nobody wants to argue with him, cause he ALWAYS finds something to argue about. (It also helps he knows Judo and lives in a dojo.) He's usually the first one to lead the charge into a fight. He fights with a spear and pilots 'Red Rescue', his personal Zord, which is essentially a Firetruck, because his dream was to become a Fire Fighter, having given up on his dream after being stuck inside of a burning building and developing a fear of fire. Thunder Blue: Aloof, calm, collected...lazy. He'd rather sleep than do anything, so Red is usually dragging him around everywhere. He fights with a pistol and pilots 'Blue Justice', which is a police car. He gave up on his dream after his father was arrested. His father WAS a bad man, and might even turn into a monster later on, but as far as he knew, his father was a good person who took care of him and his mother and when he was taken away, they fell on hard times. Thunder Yellow: Obnoxious is the right word to describe him. He's always telling bad puns and is usually the butt of most jokes-he's most likely gonna get beaten up the most, usually by Red. He's also usually the one thinking they should run from a fight. Speaking of, he fights with a pair of yo-yos, which is a constant prop for him, and pilots 'Yellow Speeder', an ambulance. His dream was to become a doctor, but no matter how hard he studies, he's barely scraping by and a teacher even told him to not bother with medical school, saying he'd never make it. Thunder Green: Wannabe lady's man who's always getting rejected. He thinks he's smooth, but isn't. He fights the most with Green, and can back it up since he knows boxing, but usually it doesn't amount to much of anything. He fights with an axe and pilots 'Green Rush', a drill. This...sadly, doesn't tie into his dream, which is to become a musician, and is even musically inclined. But his father, a fisherman, wants him to take over the family business and even destroyed an instrument he had bought with his own money in his childhood. Thunder Black: Resident nerd. He knows everything there is to know about electronics and is an otaku. If he's not shoving his latest manga in someone's face, he's playing some kind of gaming device, or trying to reenact a cringy anime trope 'in real life'. But what he truly goes crazy over is cars. He fights with a pair of daggers that can be brought together to form into a sword, and pilots 'Black Shimmer', a race car. His dream is to go into programming video games, but his parents disapprove of his love for video games. He has the best grades of the group and is even pushing to live Blue's dream, but that's not what he wants to do. When these five zords come together, they become 'Thunder King'! Throughout the series the five of them will be in constant contact with 'Senpai', someone who graduated a few years ahead of them and acts as their confidant and counselor. Despite her job as a freelance reporter, she sees it as her duty as their senior and older sister figure to help these five get on track. Her role is to help these five stop their acts of delinquency, get them socially adjusted to society properly, and just help them. But whenever they're in REAL danger, she becomes... Thunder Pink: A mysterious 6th Ranger who comes in to save the day every once in a while and disappears just as quickly. She fights with a sniper rifle, and usually helps them from a far-off distance unseen. But when things get REALLY hairy, she rides upon 'Pink Dream', which is a dragon that becomes its own proper mech and fights as 'Thunder Dragon'. It CAN combine with the Thunder King and becomes 'Thunder Dragon King!' Throughout the series, the team's interactions with 'Pink', their mutual support, and through all the fighting, the rougher parts of the personalities start to smooth out and they start to drop/tone down their worst traits-they'll even get meta and joke about it as they become better people. |
Alright! I think I'm finished with this Monstranger concept art. I redesigned their suits for a more striking look, taking some inspiration from Gokaiger and Lupinranger with the jacket-style patterns and high collars, but adding monster traits and permanent "eyes" to set them apart from other Sentai:
https://images-wixmp-ed30a86b8c4ca88...6DRv7nuDQh4mDk The initial trio of Red (vampire) Yellow (mummy) and Pink (Frankenstein) are all undead so they use Coffin Changers and have a more sleek design, while the later additions Blue (werewolf) and Green (mermaid/gillman) are both animal-people so they use Beast Cage Bracers and have a more "wild" look. And because I'm pretty proud of them, here's a detail look at the changers: https://images-wixmp-ed30a86b8c4ca88...Ueem12n6rgcmaI The Coffin Changer is a handheld device that can unfold into a gun. In coffin mode, the five buttons select the function (up=transform, down=communicator, left=summon personal weapon, right=summon mecha, middle=combine) and pulling the trigger activates it. In gun mode, pulling the trigger fires a single shot and holding it down projects a targeting sight from the eye. The Beast Cage Bracer is a wrist-mounted blaster. Turning the dial selects the function (it has the same five as the Coffin Changer) which also changes the icon showing in the cage, and pressing the dial down activates it. A trigger is concealed in the hand, pressing it fires a single shot and holding it down fires rapid shots from both barrels. This makes it a faster but less accurate weapon than the Coffin Changer. Both changers also double as the ranger's standard sidearms. |
Oh wow, their suits have really come along nicely! And you even gave a design for the morphers! :O

Yeah I did spent a long time on the design, though a good chunk of that time was just flipping back and forth between a couple possibilities trying to decide which I liked better. Probably my biggest weakness when it comes to character design is how indecisive I can be! Quote:
They'd also have a movie-exclusive ranger, Monster White, a ghost with an owl as her animal mech. In the main series she's one of the villain generals, but she was forced into evil against her will, and she's eventually rescued by Red (who she fell in love with) and Slayer (her older brother before she died). After being rescued she vows to never fight again, but in the movie the situation gets desperate enough that she takes up a Coffin Changer of her own. I'd like to make Monster Slayer and Monster White eventually, and then maybe their personal weapons, unmorphed appearances, villains and supporting cast, possibly even their mecha if I get really ambitious, but that would take a lot of time and work ;-; I might also make concept art for some of my other ideas, or even other people's ideas if that's something anyone wants? But I can't make any promises. |
Quote:
I'm really just stunned at how good this stuff is! Keep up the good work! |
I haven't developed this idea much, but inspired by Zenkaizer being the first trash hero, how about an entire team of them?
Ponkotsu Sentai Shūriger! (Piece-of-junk Sentai Repairing-ger) I'm not sure what their actual theme would be. It could be a parody like Akibaranger where their suits, changers, mecha etc. are all made of garbage. On the opposite end of the silly-serious spectrum, it could also be set in a post-apocalyptic future and have them working to repair the world. Or it could be all about teaching kids to recycle? Oh, or it could be something involving tsukumogami, maybe with each one partnered with a different haunted object, maybe even with those objects being their mecha! Although it's hard to imagine how you could combine a giant robot out of an umbrella, bottle, lantern, mirror and shamisen... |
