The tail of Nightmare Dragon which is now acting as a blade for Nightmare Ruler slashes into the torso of Dream Ruler, sparks flying out from impact. As the robo of Morpheus turns it’s back from the strike, the Musashi brothers deliver another blow to it, sliding the bladed tail straight down against the back of Dream Ruler. Dream Ruler then delivers an elbow strike to the abdomen of Nightmare Ruler, the blow sending it back some. Dream Ruler then turns around to face it’s foe, it’s hands retracting into it’s body, two beams of golden light then shooting out of the empty spaces to form bladed weapons. The group then swings the right arm of their robo down towards the opponent’s neck. The nightmarish brothers react quickly though, they blocking with their arm blade. Nightmare Ruler then delivers a punch to the left hip of Dream Ruler, it following it up with a punch to the side of it’s body. The Dream Rulers do not all back though, they then countering with a Muay Thai kick to Nightmare Ruler’s left side, the blow strong enough to but some space between the giant robots. With enough space between them now, Keiji pilots the mecha to bring it’s left arm down towards Nightmare’s legs. As The Nightmarerangers block the blow, Dream Ruler then punches into chest of Nightmare Ruler, piercing it some with it’s beam energy blade. The two then throw their robot’s arms up into the air to shrug Dream Ruler’s away. The evil mecha then flies up into the air, it waving it’s left hand in a mocking manner to the Dreamrangers. Syuri grins beneath her helmet as she flies Dream Ruler up into the sky, making an immediate slash attack towards the enemy. Nightmare Ruler blocks the attack, it then deliver one of it’s own as the beast kicks Dream Ruler into a nearby mountain, the force of the robot slamming into it causing the mountain to crumble.

The wings of the dragon fling back to as they were. The Musashi brothers then bring Nightmare Ruler’s bladed arm back as it crouches some, as if ready to sprint off. As they do this, the blade begins to glow with black energy, Nightmare Dragon’s mouth which is attached to the center of the body of the robot opening, red energy forming around it.

“NIGHTMARE RULER, ABYSSAL NIGHTMARE BURST!”

Nightmare Ruler then throws it’s arm out diagonally towards the mecha of the dream kingdom, the black energy flying off the blade, it taking the form of a sharply curved blast. After the black energy is fired off, Nightmare Dragon releases the energy it had stockpiled, a fiery ball of red energy flying out from it’s mouth. The ball of energy slams into the curved energy blade, it propelling it forward faster.

The two energy masses slam into the middle of Dream Ruler, causing an immediate explosion. The cockpit explodes in a rain of sparks and flying wires, the shock wave flinging the Dreamrangers through the mecha and down into the forest. The three slam down against broken trees, they still in their suits. As they look up to Dream Ruler, they watch it split into their respective mechas, they rushing back through a portal and into the dream kingdom.

The rangers slowly stand up, they walking away slowly from where they landed. After a while, they reach the river where they did battle with the wasp wraith. However their escape is interrupted, their ears becoming filled with the laughter of two men. They look across the river, Red Nightmare and Black Nightmare, they standing on a small incline.

“Miss us?” Black Nightmare asks mockingly.

The three Dreamrangers stare coldly towards the Musashi brothers, the two laughing at what they have put their enemies through. Syuri clenches her fists tightly, her face coiled in anger beneath her helmet.

The three then charge towards the lake, each one letting out a thunderous battle cry. As they get about half way to the other side, Red and Black Nightmare flash down to the spot, the Dreamrangers slamming head on with them. Keiji and Paige begin assaulting Kuzunaki with fist after fist, he blocking every one, he eventually getting sent to the ground by a sweeping kick courtesy of Paige. As he lays in the water, Keiji jumps into the air some he looking to slam his leg against the head of the Nightmareranger. Red Nightmare rolls out of the way though, Keiji slamming into the lake. Kuzunaki then jumps up to his feet as Paige rushes up to him. He grabs hold of her arm and flings her over his head, he slamming her down onto the ground. Paige’s grip is tight though, she bringing Kuzunaki down with her. As he slowly makes it up to his feet he notices a shadow overtaking him. As he looks up he sees Keiji in the air, he about ready to land upon him.

Black Nightmare misses Syuri with a dive attack of his own, she stepping to the side and upon his landing, pushes him away. The two then begin trading kicks back and forth fiercely, eventually causing the other to flip around, leaving them back to back. The two spin around crying out, they looking to hit the other with a punch. The two clenched fists slam into each other, Syuri’s gaze deadlocked on Jūbei, his gaze deadlocked on her.

Twelfth Dream: Collision! Captured Brawl!

Aimi crawls over a fallen tree, her face covered in dirt, it featuring a few cuts from the impact the brawl she witnessed had on the area. He hands, arms, and legs featuring some cuts and bruises as well, he kimono almost tatter near her feet, part of the left sleeve nearly ripped off. She walks around the wrecked forest, she looking for her friends.

“God I hope those three are alright. Those Nightmarerangers seem really strong. Not to mention they have their own mecha. That thing looked powerful. Plus they had to deal with a wraith! Oiiii, I really hope I find them in one piece!”

As Aimi continues to walk around the forest, she comes witness to more of the destruction the five rangers and wraith caused. Along with the environment bearing nearly decimated, she comes to see animals, slain in the heated battle. Aimi’s eyes become filled with tears as she looks at these poor creatures, her stomach tightening in ache, she even vomiting at some points. While aware the rangers were trying to protect the citizens in the city, she can’t help but hate them for the destruction they caused to the forest, both to the environment and the animals.

She continues to make her way through the devastation, she eventually seeing light that she assumes will lead her out of the forest. She smiles at the thought of being able to get out of the forest, she beginning to run towards the light. When Aimi passes through it, she comes onto the side of a lake, she relishing the sunlight. She immediately runs over to the lake and goes down onto her knees, she splashing water all over her face.

“Ahhhhhhhhhh much better” She says smiling from the cool feeling of the water against her skin.

Her peacefulness becomes interrupted however when she hears people crying out. She looks over to her right, she seeing the Dreamrangers clashing against the Nightmarerangers. Afraid of being seen, Aimi rushes over to a fallen branch near the forest, it big enough to hide her well, but allow her to see what is going on. As she watches the fight, she remembers she has her camera with her. Aimi takes it off of her wrist, she pointing it toward the two enemy groups and beginning to take pictures of the encounter.

Syuri and Jūbei continue beating each other back and forth, each one managing to both land and take blows. Syuri goes for a roundhouse kick to the head, Black Nightmare ducking down to the ground. As Dream White’s leg swings above him, he whips out his Night Sickles, he swiping at Syuri’s leg that is still on the ground. She notices this and in an act to dodge the blow, flips her body forward and up, she avoiding the blade. Once her legs come back together, she reaches down and grabs Jūbei by the neck, her hands clenched tightly against it. As she falls to the ground, she pulls down on Black Nightmare’s neck, she force slamming his head down against the ground, and even into it a bit.

Syuri then rolls away quickly, she summoning forth her Dream Blade. After a while Jūbei gets off of the ground, he walking dizzily some. Dream White cries out and runs towards him. The Musashi boy has enough clarity though to see the oncoming attack, he side stepping out of the way. As Syuri runs past him some, he sinks the blade of one of his sickles into her right leg, it bringing her down to the ground in agonizing pain. As she lies on her stomach crying out, Jūbei takes advantage, he plunging the other blade into her back. He runs it along to near her waist before he rips it out, the suit tearing and sparks flying out everywhere, some blood fountaining out as well, Syuri screaming loudly in pain.

“Not so tough are you now you little bitch!” Black Nightmare commands down at his foe, he delivering a rough kick to her side, the blow sending her rolling away from him.

“SYURI!” Paige cries out, she being silenced shortly afterwards by a boot to the head, it sending her flying off down the lake some.

“Pay attention unless you want to die!” Kuzunaki shouts out at Paige.

As he turns around, he is met by Keiji crying out like a warrior, he plunging the Dream Trident into a thigh of his opponent, blood shooting out. Kuzunaki groans a bit but then begins to laugh, the reaction causing Keiji to tilt his head, his face becoming painted in fear.

“Who the hell are you guys?!”

“We’re simply your worst nightmares come true.” Red Nightmare replies. He then brings the butts of both Nightmare Hooks against the sides of Keiji’s head. Keiji lets go of his weapon in response, he walking backwards in pain.

Kuzunaki then transfers one of his blades into his other hand, he using his now free hand to remove the Dream Trident from his leg, groaning as he does so. After he removes it he tosses it to the side, returning the Nightmare Hook to its hand. Kuzunaki then runs towards Dream Blue, he leaping into the air right before he reaches him. Right as he begins to fall down to Earth, he crosses both swords into an X form. His feet hit the ground; he posed down in a crouch, his head down and arms out thus uncrossing the blades. When he tilts his head up an explosion goes off against Keiji’s suit. The blast causes Keiji to scream out horribly as his body reacts violently to the attack. An X ripped into his suit so deeply that it almost has revealed his flesh, sparks going off everywhere as a red spot grows in size against his chest.

As he chuckles at the blow he has dealt to the Dreamranger, he fails to notice that Paige has fired off a volley of shots from her Dream Blaster. When Kuzunaki turns around to head towards Paige downstream, the energy blasts slam into his body, he crying out in pain as he is assaulted by him. After the blasts have vanished, he staggers forward some, he not expecting that the girl would be able to impact him so much, part of his burnt a little. Paige then appears at his back, she screaming as she slashes down towards him. The edge of her Dream Shoots slashes across Kuzunaki’s back sparks flying out and getting another cry of pain out of him. He reacts almost instantly, spinning around quickly and slamming the back of his fist against the side of Paige’s head, the impact sending her flying away in a spiral formation, she eventually slamming side first against a large rock.

From her hiding place, Aimi watches on in shock and in utter terror, her body drenched in sweat. She stops takings pictures for minutes, her entire face red as tears fall against her face like a rainstorm. She slowly speaks to herself, her voice hoarse and almost a whisper.

“They…they’re g g going to k k k kill each other!”

Syuri slams down to the ground, she doing so after being struck by a slash of energy from Black Nightmare’s blade. A she lands she writhes in pain, she having landed on her back, blood continuing to work it’s way out of the wound Black Nightmare had caused earlier. With a scream Jūbei leaps into the air, he looking to land feet first on Dream White’s chest. She still has enough strength left though, for as Jūbei is about to land she kicks out with both legs, they slamming into his chest. With a bit of force and momentum Syuri launches Black Nightmare into the air, he landing behind her some, her unluckily landing face first against a rock.

“Gahhh!” He cries out as he clutches at his helmet as he rolls away from the rock. A small crack appearing in the left eye portion of his visor.

Before he can stand up though, Syuri is on him like a hawk. With her Dream Blade wielded, she cries out ferociously as she begins striking down against Jūbei repeatedly, he able to block every strike with his Night Sickles. She brings the blade down against the blades again, she attempting to force it down into his body. The Nightmareranger is able to hold her off though, he throwing her off of him. Jūbei then rushes to Syuri after she stands up, he crossing his sickles in readiness for an attack. He uncrosses them as he stops in front of Dream White; however he only cuts air as Syuri throws herself down to the ground. As quick as a cat she switches her weapon into it’s gun mode, she getting off multiple shots that slam into Black Nightmare’s chest, the force of the blasts driving him back a bit, this allowing Syuri to get to her feet without being assaulted.

“You’re pretty swift there Dream White.” Jūbei says to Syuri.”

“You’re pretty strong Black Nightmare.” She shoots back.

“Too bad it’s a talent about to be lost!”

Jūbei crosses his blades in an X position as he jumps into the sky, he flipping himself frontwards. Right as he lands on the ground, he uncrosses his blades calling out:

“BLACK CROSS SAVAGERY!”

After calling out the name of his attack, black energy bursts from his Night Sickles as he uncrosses them, the energy taking the form of an X. The X shaped dark energy slams into Syuri’s body, cutting through her suit and causing small explosions against it, sparks flying out as a result. The force of the attack sends the white Dreamranger flying into the air only to slam face first against the ground.

Black Nightmare chuckles as he walks towards his fallen opponent, he wishing to check to make sure he has subdued her. Once he is at Syuri, he begins slamming his foot against the back of her head, driving it into the ground. He continues to chuckling and looks down at his prey, he being met with a beam of white and gold energy that is shooting out form the Dream Blade’s barrel. The beam’s end which has formed into the shape of a star slams into his chest, sending the evil ranger flying far off until he slams against the ground, he rolling for a bit before being stopped by slamming into a tree.

“It’s going to take more than a letter to put me down.” Syuri says as she stands up slowly, her body shaking from the punishment she has taken so far, she gazing down at Jūbei with eyes full of coldness.

“Heh…I guess so.” Jūbei responds as he climbs to his feet. He and Syuri then burst into flashes of white and Black, the two colliding as they flash back and forth around the area.

Paige lies on the ground shaking in pain, she clutching at the right side of her body, blood oozing through her suit into her hand, the wound being causing from slamming against the rock which she was laying next to. As she felt her side, she could feel a few broken bones, each touch causing her to whimper some. Dream Pink does not have much down time though as Red Nightmare’s hand grabs hold of her shoulder, he lifting her into the air till he was looking up at her, both Night Hooks being held in his right hand.

“Well well well, it seems that the pink warrior is all out of fight.” Kusunaki says mocking to Paige, he moving his hand from her shoulder to her neck, clutching at it tightly.

“I I’m not done y yet!” Paige cries out in response, she kicking her feet into his mid section to try and force him to let go of her. However her kicks seem to have no effect on the man, he continuing to hold her.

“Really now? Well even if you have some fire still lit inside, it’s about to be extinguished.” Red Nightmare answers as he tightens the hold he has on her neck.

He then grips down on both Night Hooks tightly, he bringing his arm back into position to where the blades are right in front of where her heart would be. As Paige watches this she beings whimpering in utter fear, she continuing her assault on the Nightmareranger’s chest with her feet, they still having no effect on him.

“Goodnight Dream Pink, have a nice sleep!” Kusunaki shouts out as he throws his arm towards Paige’s heart.

“You bastard!” Keiji’s voice cries out.

Kusunaki halts his attack on Paige at the voice of the blue ranger. Kusunaki turns his head towards where he heard the voice, but becomes acquainted to the Dream Trident, Keiji slamming the rod part of it into Red Nightmare’s neck. Kusunaki cries out in pain from the blow, he dropping Paige as a result of it. Paige limps away to stand next to Keiji as the evil ranger staggers back some.

“Keiji you saved my neck.”

“Both figuratively and literally.” Keiji replies, his words getting a chuckle out of Paige.

Paige summons her Dream Shooter once more, the two rangers watching as Kuzunaki stops staggering about and locks his sights on them.

“Think you can take another attack from him?”

“I’m pretty sure I can.”

“Good. Paige I want you to try and get off your final attack on him. When he counters it and attacks you, I’ll finish him off with mine. That sound like a plan?” Keiji asks of his comrade, he looking down at her as he speaks.

“Yeah, it’s a plan.” Paige responds as she looks up at him, she smiling beneath her helmet as she nods at him.

“Then let’s do it!”

Paige lets out a battle cry as she rushes towards the Musashi that dons the color of red, she aiming her Dream Shooter at him. He watches as she does so, he smirking beneath his helmet.

“Bring it!”

The pink Dreamranger then pulls her left arm back in a position that lets her fire the weapon off. As she does this, the barrels on the mystical weapon begin shining in bright magenta. As they continue to shine, large cone like energy structures from around them, they glowing brighter and brighter as the energy gathers more.

“RAPID DREAM BURST!” Paige cries out, release her hand from the grasp she had it in.

Once her hand opens, the cone like energy structures blast off from the barrels, rapid blasts of energy shots firing out of the barrels and slamming into the cones, propelling them forward faster. As the attack nears him Kusunaki begins to laugh, he standing there as if nothing was going to happen. The energy blast reaches his position, slamming into his being like a missile slamming into a building. As the attack collides, an explosion of magenta and gold energy shoots off.

Paige stands there shocked that the attack collided with it’s target. Beneath her helmet she smiles brightly at the thought of putting an end to Red Nightmare. However her smile fades quickly as a now all too familiar voice shouts out.

“RED STRIKING FANG!”

Through the smoke brought on by Paige’s attack shines dark red light, it breaking through the smoke to show Red Nightmare spinning around, his hook blades attached to each other with red lightning sparking around it. Kusunaki stops spinning as his blades whip through the air, the lighting speeding off of the weapon towards Paige. The lightning strikes Paige quickly, it numbing her body down into a near paralysis state. As her body becomes unable to move, a jagged wave of dark red and black energy slams into her being, it causing an immediate explosion against her suit, the blow sending her flying high into the air, she eventually slamming right side first into the river.

Kusunaki stands there relaxing from his attack. His relaxation though comes to a screeching hault, he spinning himself around his an attack cry is called out.

“TRIPLE TWISTING DREAM!” Keiji shouts out at the top of his lungs.

Cyclones of blue energy spin rapidly around the three blades of the Dream Trident as Keiji flies through the air. The Dreamranger flies right up to the Nightareranger and slams the blades into his enemy. The cyclones ripe ferociously against his suit, they eventually spinning enough and gathering enough energy to burst in an explosion of blue. The explosion shoots Kusunaki away from Keiji, his suit burnt and torn from the attack. After flying through the air for a bit, Kusunaki slams down into the river, rolling downstream a bit.

As he slowly gets up to his feet, Jūbei falls down next to him, he landing face first in the water. Kusuanki goes down to his knees, he taking hold of his brother gently and helping him up to his feet.

“Jūbei are you alright?”

“Yeah I’m fine. That white bitch is stronger than I expected.” Jūbei replies to his brother.

The two men stare downstream, their eyes filled with the now reunited Dreamrangers, the white and blue ones helping the one clad in pink up to her feet.

“Nice fall Paige.”

“Oh shut up Syuri.” Paige responds with a slight chuckle.

Keiji then reports to Syuri. “We’ve hit them with everything we have and they still won’t go down.”

“Trust me, I’m aware of that.” She replies as she stares down the two Nightmarerangers.

“Dear brother, shall we deliver the final blow?” Jūbei asks of his sibling.

“We don’t have much of a choice.” Kusunaki replies.

The two men stare at each other, they eventually nodding at each other. They then crouch back in unison, they taking the pose the Drearamngers have seen before.

“They’re going for the finish!” Paige shouts out as she and her friends watch the two brothers gathering energy for their final attack.

“Oh yeah? Well so are we! Keiji, Paige, Dream Cannon!” Syuri commands.

Paige lays the Dream Shooter out sideways in the air. Keiji then places his trident on the top side of the handle. Syuri then flips the blade of her weapon back up to be in the hybrid form of the Dream Blade back up to lay against the barrel of her blaster. She then places it on the bottom of the handle of the Dream Shooter. Syuri then takes hold of the handle of the DreamShooter. Keiji and Paige grabbing hold of her shoulders'.

“You guys ready?!” Syuri shouts out to her teammates.

“Yes!” They both respond.

“Jūbei ready?!” Kusunaki asks of his brother.”

“As always!” He responds.

"DREAM CANNON, BLAST OFF!!" The three rangers shout, Syuri slamming her hand against the trigger on the handle of the DreamShooter.

As she does so, a torrent of blue, pink, and white energy shoots out of all three weapons, it combining into a stream like ball of energy with lightning around it, it racing like a speeding train towards the Nightmarerangers.

“NIGHTMARE RAZOR WIND!” Kusunaki and Jūbei cry out in unison.

They then push their bodies forward and release their weapons, they spinning violently towards the group of Dreamrangers. After a while the blades slam into each other, forming a circular almost cyclone blade of black, white, and red energy, lightning cackling around it. The blades tear through the air, they heading on a collision course with the attack the Dreamrangers shot off.

The two attacks slam into each other viciously like colliding cars. Each attack power struggles against the other, the Nightmarerangers’ attack pushing towards the Dreamrangers at some points, the Dreamrangers’ attack pushing towards the Nightmarerangers at some points. As the two energy attacks fight against the other, they begin glowing intensely, multi colored lighting slamming down to the ground around it and the two ranger teams. After minutes of struggling against each other, the two energy attacks combine into a multi colored energy sphere, it exploding immediately upon creation. As it explodes, it sends out a giant shockwave of multicolored energy out in all directions, it tearing through the environment. The shockwave soon slams into both the Dreamrangers and the Nightmarerangers, causing immediate explosions upon collision, the blast force rocketing the rangers into the air and back into the forest.

The Dreamrangers fall back down to the ground, the slamming down against tree branch after tree branch until they meet the ground, they land face first. As they hit the ground they immediately are forcefully detransformed, the lack of suits revealing their civilian forms. They shake against the ground in pain struggling to stand up, their bodies a broken, dirtied, bruised, and bloody mess, not one inch of their clothing has been torn and blown away, their skin covered in wounds. Syuri’s jacket has been blown away, it laying beside in her a tattered shape. Paige’s jacket has met the same fate, her shirt underneath almost destroyed as well, bits of her bra and even some of her breasts showing. Keiji’s jacket has escaped being destroyed, however his pants have been torn into shreds, they now resembling shorts more then anything.

As they continue to try and get up, Syuri and Keiji look up from the ground ahead of them. What they turns their bloodied faces white, as both Kusunaki and are standing a few feet away from them, their clothes tattered and torn as well, both of their chests showing as the upper parts of their kimonos are now laying against the lower portions of it, their skin equally bruised, dirtied, and bloodied.

“You…you’ve got to be shitting me.” Syuri stutters out in agony.

“T they won’t…they won’t fucking stay down!” Keiji adds in.

Jūbei then begins to walk towards the Dreamrangers, he having a slight limp to his walk. Kusunaki then throws on arm out in front of his brother, motioning for him to stop.

“No little brother. Let us leave and fight another day.” He instructs to Jūbei.

“Fine.” Jūbei replies, the two Musashi brothers then disappearing in a burst of red and black lightning.

The Dreamrangers continue to lay there in utter pain and agony. After what seems like hours though, Syuri looks up and notices Aimi running towards them.

“You guys!” She shouts out, she going immediately to her knees once she reaches the three.

“Aimi, what are you doing here?” Paige asks.

“I followed you guys to make sure you were okay. I saw everything, and even took some photos of the fight.” She responds, she holding up her camera.

“Heh…you have a thing for danger don’t you Aimi?” Syuri asks.

“I guess I have a thing for making sure you three are okay.” Aimi shoots back with a grin, she getting laughter from the three rangers, she soon joining in.

Later at Aimi’s house and inside the Dreamranger’s apartment, Aimi sits in front of the laptop, her hair wet and her forehead bandaged from fallout from the fight from earlier.

“Thank you for the photographs Aimi. These should help us get some information on those two Musashi boys. Now if only we had one of them not in their suits.” Dr. Edogawa says.

“I’m sorry I couldn’t get any. I got to the fight after they had transformed.” Aimi replies, her voice a bit hoarse.

“It’s fine. I’m just happy you and the others are alright.”

“I’m fine but I don’t know about them. I think they’ll be out of commission for a little bit.” Aimi states to the dream doctor.

“Makes enough sense going by what you told me of their condition.” He replies.

“Yeah…”

“Anyways, thank you once more for the photos. We’ll keep a close eye on your area while those three heal. If anything happens while they’re out of work, we’ll take care of it. Just make sure they rest.” Edogawa instructs the young female.

“Yes sir.” Aimi responds.

Edogawa gives a nod and salute before ending the call. After it has ended, Aimi stands up and walks back into her room, Syuri, Keiji, and Paige laying on the floor of the room asleep all bandaged up. Aimi stands there watching them sleep, her eyes becoming filled with tears at their condition.

“You guys..” She whispers softly.
