Anyway, I would love a Sentai show that is the most somber Sentai show of recent years where Rangers get a hard-hitting question that is very difficult for them to answer and I would like the villains to be the most sinister and eviler Sentai villains ever similar to Vyram from Jetman
You may get your wish, but Sentai as a whole has varied wildly in many regards.
Looking at Bouken for example, and there are some tear jerker moments, same to Geki. While they have these thick coats of surreality to them, they still manage to work in stronger themes.
As time goes on, much of sentai and kamen rider for that matter is kind of a mirror of our times. What's happening on the world stage often spills over into the themes and storylines of shows in metaphoric ways. Take for example the divisiveness going on over in build and looking at some of the divisiveness of the world stage, and you see mirrors of our times through it. The same is true for other years of Sentai and Rider shows. We have Kabuto during a time of Government agency questioning, and how Tendo stood away from it. You have the complicated natures of other years blending into the overtones of their respective shows as well. Even Hibiki and it's story of choice through the eyes of growing up, was heavily covered in tradition speaking to concerns of the time as well of not forgetting history/tradition/cultural ancestry.
The same is true dating all the way back to their inceptions, and other 70s series. Each is a product of their time and the prevalent mindsets, fears, and mentalities that pervaded. Same as how Godzilla grew and changed per each era as well. Ultraman too.
So I really wouldn't be surprised if we get something a bit more somber but also comedic blended coming up within the next 4 years. Same as next year's rider and maybe 2 others after it may contain some unique material to the brand as a whole as they dive more into the influences of the modern world that induces creativity and how the zeitgeist needs the material to further it forward as creative works tend to bookend or bookmark the mentalities of the time.
Some constants remain true though, as the world gets more complicated and scary, sometimes beacons of hope and light are needed more to cling to. But how that is approached can vary.
