While it's not a remake of the original Gridman, I expect all the support mecha will make it in. Seems kind of pointless to not when you're making a show to celebrate the original. Especially when with animation you don't have to worry about practical effects and suit manufacturing costs.
So I'd lean extremely likely we'll get all support robot stuff and vehicles in the course of the series.
As for a direct toyline. Maybe. Depends on how the anime itself is marketed. But since there seems to be a hungry enough fanbase to make this, I'd assume there is a big enough audience to cash in on some affordable merchandising too somehow. Even if it only means re-releases of the older. Though likely some new stuff at some point besides the normal pricey collector only stuff.
Would seem like a wasted opportunity to not cash in on the hype with some reasonable merchandise forays. Even if it only meant minipla/candy toys and then the more pricey fan oriented.
BoJ has never been one to miss out on an opportunity to make money. And if the hype is strong enough and maybe AS picks it up or toonami, I could see BoA needing it as an added influx too.
