I've elaborated
here
that Glion's status as the hero was actually established only
recently
after his onscreen debut in episode 16. So, from 2013-2023, the AU's top brasses viewed Glion just as a missing person who disappeared on the same day as Fuga did. If I were one of the AU's top brasses, I would've been suspicious of this coincidence. How could two prominent members of the AU disappear on the same day, yet only one (Fuga) was branded as the traitor while the other (Glion) was only viewed as a missing person, and worse, later hailed as the hero?
I think the writers (or the writer) shot themselves in the foot in this one. Whether caused by Glion's memory manipulation trick or merely deceit, the decisions and actions of the AU's top brasses are beyond stupid. It's a no-win situation. This is why I've always said that memory manipulation is very very
very
hard to execute correctly. It's a very dangerous narrative device that if used recklessly (like in this story) it could break your story's logic, immersion, and believability into pieces. If I were the writer of this show, I'd rather write a simple yet logically solid and consistent story, like Fourze, than even think of touching that dangerous weapon that would mess up the story.
