The whole allergy against "politics" in their medium that comic readers have going on right now is pathetic. Comics always dealt with social and political issues, and some of these mediums like Watchmen are now celebrated as classics.

But today, today it is done "wrong" of course. Bullshit, it's just dealing with themes these people are unable or unwilling to be confronted with, since they throw a screaming fit whenever a queer character dares to exist or god forbid, racism is addressed.

I'm gonna be that guy, and then never touch this thread again for my own well-being.

Zero One's take on racism was more nuanced, about explicitly racist characters (like Aruto, Fuwa and even Yua to an extent) seeing the error of their ways and changing for the better.

Most American political media treats human nature as solid, and thus, bad people can never be good. Instead of a helping hand, it's a knife towards those the creators don't agree with by saying "you will always be the villain" and just making that divide bigger. This goes for both sides, by the way.
