A really fun episode. I loved how everyone immediately adapted to and fell in love with the retro change (And Yacchan pointing out that it was a strange mix of eras, considering some things felt right out of the 50's, while others were clearly 70's and etc).
Speaking of, Yacchan was super great this episode. The cool grandma who does all she can to make others smile. Makes a lot of sense why she runs a candy store, now. The interesting hook between her and Stacey has me all the more curious, now, too (Though I do doubt they're actually related).
Anyway, this episode was just full of great moments. From Zox being completely unaware of his morpher changing while he does his full dance, to the Zenkaigers not falling for the nostalgia wave due to enjoying their lives more in the present, to Retro World straight up using Ultraman's Specium Beam, there was so much I loved.
Honestly, the only part I didn't enjoy was the mech fight forcing them to only use retro slang. It's not like going from English to Olde English (Or, in this case, Japanese to Classical Japanese). Like, I don't get why it forced them to only speak in outdated slang, was all.
That aside, strong episode with tons of fun (And further cementing Gege as the real boss of the Tojitendo), with a strong set up for Stacey's future plots and a great time for Yacchan to shine!
