Well Vice showed in Episode 8 that devils can act even when their host is unconscious, so it makes sense that Kagerou would come out after Daiji took some damage.

Releasing Vice means they don't need to use CGI to make him transparent. Releasing Kagerou means they would have to use more CGI to have Hyuuga be in two places at once. It seems Kagerou's vendetta isn't targeted at Ikki alone, as he also attacks Jeanne after taking over, so it might take a lot of effort to redeem him.

I'd still say that warning outside his lab, but those are both great George moments as well! However, he did say Vice's upgrade is merely not completed yet, so there could be more to see for Revice Barid Rex Genome.

With the 'trust' being shown by Vice punching a Deadman behind Ikki where Ikki didn't notice. I'm still not fully onboard with trusting morally dubious beings to be released which Ikki does to Vice, though it's true that there are also positive moments Vice did to him which Ikki overlook like trying to protect him from Kagerou, but I'm fully onboard on the more innocent side, on how you should trust others to handle problems by themselves instead of holding them back. Better try and mitigate problems (if not successful) than not trying at all due to over-worry of being injured. And not trusting others to handle problems is quite an innocent version of putting others down, viewing them as weak or incapable...
I was expecting this to happen eventually as part of Vice's arc, but not this soon! He deserves it though, after how helpful he's been to Ikki both in combat and personal life. I have to praise Ikki as well, for finally realizing how much he depends on Vice. Ikki isn't the kind of person who wants to be dependent on others or be a burden to them, so admitting you need help and can't do something on your own takes courage, in addition to putting your trust in someone who betrayed you and giving them a second chance. It's also important to hold yourself to your own principles, considering how Ikki almost violated the terms of his contract in Episode 8 by neglecting Vice's welfare. Like what Yukimi said before, to make others happy, you need to be happy and I think that applies for other things like morality. It's unreasonable to expect change from a devil unless you make the effort to improve yourself as well. So part of it is Ikki accepting part of the responsibility for Vice's behavior, since he has his own problems inhibiting him.
Remix and Machine parallel:
Barid Rex is based on a tyrannosaurus, same as regular Rex, so it's still a Thunderjaw.
However, we do get to see a summon of Revice Brachio which is closer to scale of an actual Tallneck! It also looks humorous as hell since it's just as weird as you expect from a Remix, but really big!
George has a lot of audacity calling it the greatest invention of the century though. A Kamen Rider fan like him should know there's serious contention for such a title.
