Oddly enough, despite all the talk of being a god, this episode really confirms to me that Genm's a really insecure man.
-He used Emu an incubator for the bugster virus because Emu had the potential to become a great game developer (According to a user on Reddit, Emu had also written down ideas for game mechanics in the notes Kuroto was looking at).
-He killed Burgmon and infected Tsukuru because there was a chance that Tsukuru could make new gashats that could be better than his.
-Even Dangerous Zombies' imortality reeks of low self esteem when you think about it. Back when it debuted, the strongest form any of the riders could achieve was
Level 5,
and DZ made Genm
Level 10
. The dude had so little faith in himself, that he made a backup plan incase being stronger than any rider at the time somehow didn't work!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
But enough about Genm, let's talk about the with the rest of the episode. Which was mainly about Genm... Damnit.
So, way back when Ex-Aid got Gekitotsu Robots, I said I was disappointed with the episode not going anywhere with the whole "Should criminals be saved" dynamic. Well, I guess the writers stumbled upon our forums, cause here it is! Only now with a
very
personal twist with the patient being Kuroto this time around.
A neat little moment I like is where Kuroto is saying he'd understand if Emu just lets him get disintegrated by the virus, and we see Emu practically on the edge of shifting into M mode, but resolves to treat Kuroto anyway. Again, it kinda calls back to episode 5 where Genm tells Emu to forget being a doctor and just be a gamer and show no mercy.
