As far as Build goes, I think the only oddity here is that it's the first time he's appearing while being completely unrelated to the villain, but he still got plenty of neat moments, like breaking the brainwashing, taking over the Time Mazine or his talk about how whether they're real or not it doesn't matter.
Kamen Rider exists, then it's erased by Tid when he erased Kuuga, but it survives as fiction due to Shingo being a singularity point. Then Ataru, who is a Rider fan in this erased timeline, makes a contract with an Imagin who brings Riders from imagination to "reality", aiming to stop Shingo's kidnapping. When Tid is defeated at the end, basically everything is restored to normal, which is why you get Zi-O and Build in the standard world when they get back to 2018.
The forced continuity and cinematic universe just get retcon in vcinema or tv soecial, which usually are more canon even in anime like with dbz. Build doesn't get a whole lot going on compares to another deno and zio. The whole memories erasing doesnt get anywhere with supporting cast. It all end with 20 main riders show up out of people's imaginations. I wished there was a mature Ryotaro here instead of one scene getting possess by ura. Time jacket tid doesn't really fit in. With rest and went with cliche world ruling but with an even more ott plan. Last year flow better even with the returning alumni and bugger supporting Cast,
