So for example, if Gaim went into detail about how the fruit first came to be and how each and every rider came to live in Zawame City? Personally while that might be nice on paper, I don't think any lacking of information on the background of the stories takes away the wanting of say Kouta to protect those he cares about, Kaito's lust for power from having lived of a life without it, Michi's constant desire to get out from the shadows of someone else regardless of the method he takes to do it, or Takatora's goal of doing the right thing and saving world despite being caught up in a clearly corrupted organization.
I'm not sure how many people share this opinion, but often in stories it's better to imply rules and details about systems and the world as well as the characters as opposed to going into hours of detail listing it off text book style. Knowing how something first came about or fully works is one thing, but how it effects the story at large is far more important. Sure, I would love to see how the fruit in gaim was first created, but the fact they show that it is a parasite that must be destroyed at all cost is good enough for me.
