The plot is the Lupinrangers & Patrangers working at defeating the Ganglers, and in the meantime collecting Lupin Collection pieces/identifying the Lupinrangers. While sure, you could make some nitpicks on how the Patrangers took till the Finale to figure out the Lupinrangers' identities, I really don't see the issue with how they handled it to be that bad. First off, I expected their identities to be revealed sometime around the end of the show. Second, their piecing together of information was very well-done, and props to the show for being able to put bits of information throughout the journey in order for them to put these all together to make their conclusion.
If this is another one of those "UGH THE FILLERS" arguments, I really disagree with that notion, especially for a show like Lupin v. Pat, where the fillers are
1) actually DECENT---GOOD, and
2) still contained valuable pieces of information that would later on be concluded on
Sorry if it comes off rude, but I just detest this kneejerk reaction that the fandom has gotten with Lupin v Pat, where people were complaining about the fillers to the point where they were saying they were bringing the show down, which couldn't be further from the truth, due to my above points. Majority of those fillers were GOOD if you ask me. I think this mainly comes from just the trend of recent Sentai shows, whose fillers WERE mediocre---terrible, and when people saw fillers for this show, they just had the same immediate reaction to them.
Idk I feel old. I recently went back to watch kabuto and boukenger since they're my first toku outside of foreign dub or pr adaption that I watched in subs fully. I didn't notice the amount of violence in gun/sexual innuendo there was back more than a decade ago. For boukenger, i always find people forget about this anniversary series existed. i can understand the villains were bland and waste of potential of very good designs. the villains power scaling rivalries between red, blue, black, and silver were messy. However, there were more substance compares to lupinranger. Red was serious, black was rebellious 2nd in command that doesn't feel like a little bro. The 6th ranger have a huge back story and the girls were cute even the guest stars. Lupinranger is like a slice of life series with a lot of character emotions, but it gets downplay and overshadow by the nonexistent villain threat in the plot along with the uninteresting mechs battle. Credits the camera work and stunt this year. I wish Noel, kogure, hilltop, and the villains gets more "actions" besides what's given as cop out pg children friendly pc content. It's not 80s, but sentai are becoming more like pr in concentrating in very young age group as their prefer demographic. I remember the 2000s was cheesy with bad vfx cgi, but there was certainly more depths in their plot. Nowadays, it's pushing a lot of unrealistic perfect morals. It's pointless fan service, but I do want to see the replacement kaito in action as AU what if and how they interact with the cops.
