It may not mean a monopoly (Hasbro product by the way), but it does mean less competition and consumer choice. I am not saying this will end badly, but not allowing for the possibility is a little too gung-ho (G.I. Joe character).

Like the freedom Marvel gained because of the Disney purchase that let them not be stuck within other studios that could have led to a mess or limiting their freedom by how those studios could interfere. Things like Black Panther, Cloak and Dagger, and the Netflix series wouldn't have been the same otherwise or even happened at all.
But by the same token Fox holding the X-Men rights gave us the Deadpool movies. Those movies were created to compete with the Marvel Studios/Disney and DC/Warner Bros. offerings. If the Disney/Fox deal goes through the chances of anything that experimental being allowed shrinks, since it would be off-brand. We have already seen that with Edgar Wright's Ant-Man.
Look for all I know this could usher in a new golden age for Power Rangers, and that would be awesome. That said I still feel like I need to be a little critical, that is just the type of fan I am. If you aren't then that is fine, I have no right to dictate that.
