Galaxy Mega
Galaxy Mega is a fantastic design and quite unique around this time too. I think this is the first and last time since Daidenzin from Denjiman that we had a main mecha that comprises of just one component, two if you count the MegaShuttle. I just love the way he looks, he's very slick in many areas, the overall sillhoute is great, and there's a hefty amount of bulk to him which fits the fact that he transforms into a spaceship. He very much looks like a souped up version of Turbo Rugger from Turboranger. The MegaShip mode itself is great and the fact that the MegaShuttle can be stored inside is neat as well. It's just that extra bit of detail that really sells the whole mode. About my only nitpick is simply how the thrusters of the MegaShuttle become the main thrusters of the whole mecha, which doesn't make much sense in my opinion. Delta Mega Delta Mega isn't as cool as Galaxy Mega but I still think he's fine enough. I mean he's got gattling hands so he's automatically just a little awesome. Plus I like his colour scheme, with how much the yellow pops against his mostly black and silver body. Delta Mega's sillhoute is also quite triangular which I think works and makes it stand out from Galaxy Mega. The spaceship mode also retains this triangular sillhoute which looks nice and helps contrast it with the MegaShip's rounder sillhoute. Super Galaxy Mega Now this just looks awesome. Super Galaxy Mega is such a good looking combination. There is so much added beef to him, in the arms, the legs, the chest, just everywhere. Combine with the shoulder gattling guns, his design just screams raw power. Other details about him also look great, like how Galaxy Mega's arms become the new thrusters, or how the new head has the squared colour pattern present on the Megaranger suits. And he's got rocket fists, which are always cool. Mega Voyager Mega Voyager looks like it's supposed to be the main mecha had Galaxy Mega not taken that spot. It looks fine for the most part. The half circle shoulder pads are a little weird as is the head which looks like a mini sattelite with how much the head fins stick out. Otherwise though, I still like it. I think the more interesting thing about Mega Voyager are the Voyager Machines themselves. They're such a bizzare assortment of vehicles and machinery that all in some way relate to space. We have an astronaut with shoulder mounted missle pods, a rocket, a shuttle, a friggin UFO of all things, and a moon rover. That's a pretty weird set of things that have combine into a mecha. Mega Winger Mega Winger is fine. He looks nice but I'd say he's around the lower tier when it come to the Megaranger mechas. The yellow and red V on his chest is quite striking as is the visor on his head. In fact the yellow really does pop on him. I think the biggest problem I have with his design stems from his toy gimmick, which was that he could basically auto transform from spaceship mode to robot mode. This results in some areas looking a little simple, like how the wheels simply hang off the side of his legs, or how the wings simply fold up and hang off the back. Again, he still looks fine, just not one of my favourites from this show. Wing Mega Voyagerl Its Mega Voyager with wings. That's it. Like really there's nothing else that can be said about this combination. |

Would anyone agree with me that Galaxy Mega feels like a tribute to Daidenjin thus the reason Voyager got pushed to the side? Given that Megaranger is the second team to use the Denji Sentai title I cannot help but think that is the case. Anyways Galaxy Mega is one of my favorites. It feels streamlined and the simplicity help it stand out after almost a decade of multiple vehicles/smaller robots forming one big robot.
Delta Mega is surely the Jet Garuda of the team and Super Galaxy Mega I think is nice overall. Mega Voyager I think is also a great design and the individual units look nice too. Mega Winger I think is a neat design as well.

This is another show where I feel like all of the mecha are really knocking it out of the park. I think they're all great designs, but I've always liked Galaxy Mega the most. It may not be a standard combined mech, but it's still just damn cool and has a great overall look to it.

Galaxy Mecha is amazing. It took 80's mecha and made it better. However, I was thought there was too much blue.
