There's been lots of Red Rangers, from Jason to Jayden and now Troy. But only one can stand above the rest. Who is your favorite and why?
My favorite Red Ranger is Jason. You can't beat the original!

Wes easily beats the original, imo. It takes a lot of work for me to be emotionally invested in a PR character, but Wes, with his story-lines with his father and Eric and especially Jen had me really caring about the character.

I have not seen every episode of Power Rangers, but as of now, my favorite Red Ranger is Lauren. She appeared for five episodes, but almost immediately after she spoke her first few lines, the show began to rise up in quality.

Wes, easy.
He was such a great character, having a wonderful story arc and being a great character overall. He was strong, but he wasn't invincible or infallible. He was brash, but he wasn't hotheaded or stupid. He was awesome. He even faced a literal army alone.

Wes... Do I really need to explain this one? Many people already have.

I think a case can be made for Carter for the plethora of reasons which he won the red tournament. Overall Wes had more story and development and is a close second

I'm old school and still have a soft spot for MMPR Red Ranger Jason. He came off as the type of character that knew he was leader of the others, knew they had a job to do, and when they failed, he came off like it really hurt him. The whole 'Green Candle' thing was used quite a bit to drill this home all the way into his time as Gold Ranger on Zeo.
I'm actually starting to really like Troy on Megaforce now, too. He comes off with a whole 'state of Zen' attitude when dealing with things like bullies, and proves how strong he is that he doesn't let things really bug him.
