Alright so I am 7 episodes or more into Dairanger I think. The last one I watched was basically a Super Sentai Empire Strikes Back/Return Of The Jedi 2-parter. That was cool.
Anyhow I dug the Lightning Zords but my Red Dragon is broken. =< I like the series a lot, the choreography is awesome, story is interesting, et al. So what's out there for toys? All I know about are the DX zords, but what are the differences from the MMPR release and the DX zords in Japan? What figures were released in Japan? Is there a smaller DairenOh that doesn't break down into 5 zords? What were the figures like? Yes I plan to get Figuarts Ryuranger eventually and Kiba Ranger/MMPR White. Please no spoilers! Dunno if Iron Mask shows up again but due to the fact that he's Ryou's dad, I want a figure of him. So what's out there? Please feel free to post your pics of Dairanger toys here too.

Cant answer mech. But the different between the Japanese and US release of the mecha is thus:
Dairenoh---- Chrome mostly replaced in later editions of the toy (Phoenix tail, Head ornament, Sword) Shishi's head changed to black rather than green Those thigh plates are black rather than grey (why??) Stickers Won Tiger--- Sword was made rubber for later editions The black specks in the plastic was removed. Stickers |

I have seen smaller versions of Dairenoh/Thunder Megazord, and Won Tiger/KibaDaiOh floating around. They're just simple statue like figures though. There's also the chogokin figures. There's one for all six of the Dairangers. Funny enough, our own Dr.Kain has quite a few of them, and he has them up for sale.

The Thunder megazord and the Dairenoh have different decals, and so do the won tiger and white tiger. The turtle in MMPR is black while it is originally green in sentai version. Although both version have the same mold, the sentai version has greater details and chromatic accesories.
I hope bandai will release an SRC dairenoh or ryuuseioh and the rest of dairanger team in SHF since this is my most favorite sentai team. |

I'm not sure if its a different shade to the Daimugen version, but Tor is definitely molded in green plastic.

Obviously Dragon Caesar isn't apart of Dairanger,
I bought this at a local comic book store around 1992 or 1993. Which is just all sorts of wrong but it got me a Kiba Ranger.
