This thread in no way indicates anything that could possibly happen in the future.
These are simply some ideas I've had about what Bluefin Tamashii or Bandai of America could do in the future for SDCC exclusives. These are purely just ideas of my own and not indicative of anything. That being said I think they're great ideas for exclusives. S.H. Figuarts - Shieldless Green Ranger - This was teased last year to go with the actual Black Ranger produced this year. Sadly it didn't happen, but it would be incredibly easy to produce. - Armored Green Samurai Ranger - If you've followed the production of Super Megaforce then you know that Hector David Jr & Jason David Frank had some fun between takes making this suit a reality. It would make for fun one off exclusive. A good nod to fans. - "Silver stripe" Green Ranger - this would be a big letdown of an exclusive for a lot of people because of it's minimal difference to the standard costume. And there are plenty of people who in fact hate the whole silver stripe debacle. But there's no questing how simple it would be to make and market. - Metallic Season 3 MMPR Rangers 6-pack - In the same vein as the Super Samurai pack, only this one would have a basis in reality. Those this power up was only used in 5 episodes in would make perfect sense as an exclusive, a very very easy metallic repaint that a lot of people, myself included would snatch up. -Figuarts Zero Armored Red Ranger - a simple remold of the upcooming statue wouldn't be that difficult would it? The additional of the shield and Dragon Dagger with holster would seem to be incredibly easy and would definitely sell to hardcore fans. DX/Zord Builder/Legacy Items - Legacy Megazord Black/Gold edition - unlike the divise gold Dragon dagger this year a Black & Gold Megazord (or even Dragonzord for that matter) would make for an epic callback to the glory days of vintage MMPR toys. The original Black & Gold Megazord is still difficult to come by these days but plenty of people want one, as another easy repaint it's ideal for the SDCC treatment. - Legendary Morpher Gold Plated version - just like the previously release Gosei Morpher plated in gold a Legendary Morpher would likely sell very well. And retain a degree of value just as the Gosei Morpher has. The sales of the Gosei Morpher should more than prove that something like this would be easy and would sell. - More Tokyo Vinyl Rangers - this ones a bit more open ended. The Red and Green vinyls made for NYCC & SDCC respectively have both sold quite well. It seems only logical to continue the line with more exclusives lined up around popular reds and 6th rangers. - Ranger keys Morphin Madness Edition - now we know from this past week that the Power Morphicon convention will be offering a Titanium & Jungle Fury Wolf Ranger key pack. We were told by the organizers that pack is a direct result of Morphin Madness poll results. More accurately it's one of the final battles. Wolf was the last opponent Titanium to defeated to make it to the final 5. More of these "final match up" sets would be genius. Or perhaps a limited metallic paint set of the 5 winning rangers? - 5" Legacy MMPR figures 7-pack - along the same lines as the mentioned above SHF's, only this would encompass the original 7 MMPR rangers in one set (both green & white included). And do them in a nice shiny metallic paint scheme. - Legacy of Tommy Ranger Keys - despite big chunks of the fandom being turned off to JDF by recent events, his popularity still remains. His toys sell, they always do. SO how about a ranger key pack of all the suits he's ever worn done up with metallic paint? MMPR Green, MMPR White, Zeo Red, Turbo red, DT Black. Though green & white were in this years set, releasing them again with 3 new keys would appease a lot of people who simply couldn't get this years set. - "Armored Might" Armored Black Ranger - A logical extension of this year's collector styled exclusive, but done at a more affordable price point. The only new molding necessary would be the axe and helmet. Other wise this guy would be a straight up repaint. What kind of exclusives would you want to see in the future? Do you think any of the ones I came up with are possible/likely/relevant? Sound off in the comments and share your ideas as well!

I think would be kinda cool would be Villain Keys. Goldar, Zed, Rito, Scorpina, and Koragg, a full set of Psycho Ranger Keys and such.

Though I'm an outsider on the MMPR stuff (I've picked up some Sentai Figuarts, but none directly related to that series), all that sounds logical to me, especially the metallic five-pack. The Armored Green Samurai idea also sounds like a nice, creative thing to get as an exclusive (where the shieldless green & silver striped green sound a bit plain to me).
I'm trying to think of a plausible MonsterArts exclusive but outside of maybe Battle-Damaged/Corpse Junior, I'm coming up empty. Maybe a special effects set? |

There were ideas floating around about a year ago for different possible exclusive versions of Space Godzilla. One that I know I advocated more than once was a battle-damaged SG, from the moments towards the end of the film where, spoilers!, MOGUERA is able to weaken Space Godzilla by taking out his shoulder crystals. His skin color then undergoes a slight color change (exaggerated on the few toys that depict it) that would look very neat alongside the normal version. The problem with this idea would be the remolding required, something Bandai might not want to do for a convention exclusive.
The second idea, one I surprisingly warmed up to when I heard about it, was a Space Godzilla done in the classic Trendmasters toy colors, which look something like this and taking their basis from the original theatrical art poster. You wouldn't have many other possible Trendmasters-style Godzilla figures after that since so few deviate from the source material like SG that already exist as MonsterArts, but it could've been a very neat US-centric exclusive idea.

If they released Black and Gold versions of all of the MMPR season 1 zords together and had everyone of the cast memebers sign that box, that would be the holy grail of toku collectables

And while the autographs would be cool it would also be impossible seeing as Thuy Trang passed away over 10 years ago. The black/gold toys on their own would be doable as I stated above, easy repaints with new labels.
