So, reading through the G12 design has gotten me thinking...
Basically, is there a particular reason for the mecha you pick up? An example would be this: I enjoyed Gekiranger, but I never touched the Gekiranger's mecha because I found it's combination and overall aesthetic to be boring. Conversely, I didn't care for MagiRanger/Mystic Force, but I picked up MagiKing because, although it's proportions are kinda odd, I found it's combination to be unique and interesting. Likewise, I don't particularly like GoBuster, but I intend on picking up it's Mech sometime down the line (I'm kinda crossing my fingers for a gift-set featuring all 3 right now). So, when it comes to those who buy Sentai and PR Mechs, has the manner they've combined in ever been a big factor for you? Have you picked up a mech with a non-unique combination because you liked the design of the end robot? |

Thunderzords. Only because of the Red Dragon Thunderzord, I still have mine. Love it. And the MagiRanger stuff wasn't bad. The whole thing did have a dual transformation, remember.

I loved the Thunderzords' Armor combination rather than the Voltron-esque combination so many other mecha have. As for Magiranger, I love their Mecha (They're pretty much the only Sentai Mecha I kept after I sold off a lot of mine) just because of the different way they combine (Hell, I wasn't even thinking about MagiDragon when I posted that). |

Even though I've watched a fair number of sentai series, I only gotten into it a little over a year ago so I missed out on alot of toys. After finishing Magiranger, I really would love to get a MagiKing because it probably has the best design in Super Sentai, but getting it now would be far too expensive. I love Go-busters and their mech design, so I'm in the process of purchasing all the toys. So far I only got the combo set for GT-02 and RH-03, and I hope I'll get BC-01 soon.

I'm still gonna have my fingers crossed that they make a Go-Buster's mech giftset with all 3...
But has there been a mech design that you liked, but it's combination was just boring? An example for me would be the Shogun Megazord (Don't know it's Japanese name). I love how it looks, but when it comes to actual technology, the Voltron combination does nothing for me and I've never bothered to hunt one down because of it. |

My personal reason for liking Gekitouja is because toy aside it looked awesome on the show. Sure it's Super Sentai's attempt at cloning God Sigma, but why not?

Gekitouja is another example, but honestly it was less uninteresting combination and more because I didn't like it's spin gimmick :P
