So I don't know for sure as various sites say differently, but how much Original Footage does RPM have? I originally thought most was original besides the zord scenes. But then we have scenes with villains and their motorized mouths. From the past I've never seen original footage with moving mouths on monster villains. And I've seen so far a few body spark squibs but most seem digital. What is the real answer. How much footage is original not counting Zords.

With the exception of one or two earlier season episodes that featured Sentai footage, almost all in-suit footage was re-shot. All Megazord footage is, as always, from Sentai ... but like I said, all in-suit shots, including battles, were almost completely redone for RPM. It's one of the many things I loved about it. Off the top of my head, I remember the following were Sentai scenes:
- Episode 02 first suit battle - Black Ranger debut episode featured Sentai footage - Green Ranger debut episode featured Sentai footage while fighting the monster It's hard to remember after that point.

Hmm I guess I was wrong. It seems like Disney did use servos for the mouth of the machine villains. And I've always loved RPM for how flipping dark it is. Not only do they show an actual human death on screen but they imply the death of BILLIONS of humans. That doesn't say dark I don't know what does. RPM truly is the best season of PR. It even has some comedy. Also everyone can act. And the twist in the plot has to be the best one ever

RPM has about as much original footage as every Disney season. Disney generally had a lot of that. I'm not sure which has the most, but I think it would be Dino Thunder (since it had new dumb troops for most of the show).
The easiest to spot original footage in RPM is when they use the tire cuffs on their gloves as weapons. The early episodes also have far more original footage and that's what took RPM so far over budget. |

RPM did have a whole lot of original footage and it's really easy to spot when the footage is from Sentai because of how squashed it is.
