The initial rumor of Jyuden Sentai Kyoryuger first broke and was reported by other sites a couple of weeks ago. We here at TokuNation.com wanted to wait before jumping the gun - other sites have fallen prey to posting up early information that was the result of pranks and we chose to sit and wait to see if this information ended up being discreditted.
Well, a few weeks have gone by and nothing of the sort has happened. So let's talk about Jyuden Sentai Kyoryuger. The early translations show the series will feature electric ancient beasts, which spawned a LOT of conversation that this will be another Super Sentai to feature dinosaurs, like Zyuranger (pictured) and AbaRanger, a thought many felt was happening due to the overwhelming flop that Go-Busters, a high-tech/spy-like series, has been since the start of the year. The first detailed rumors of the show have been posted over at our friends with JEFusion. We cannot confirm the validity behind any of these rumors, but they're still fun to look at none-the-less. If they are accurate, let's just say those hoping for dinosaurs may be disappointed... In case these end up being accurate, we don't want to spoil it for you. You can find the rumors by clicking the news story title. Feel free to discuss away! CREDIT: Jefusion

From JEFUSION:
Quote:
Kyoryuger's mecha will be called the "Jyuden Genshijyu" (獣電原子獣, Beast Electric Atom Beasts). The term is a play on the word "Genshijyu" (原始獣, Primitive Beasts), and are not dinosaurs, but ancient animals. The team's transformation device is tentatively called "Kyoryuu Smaho" (Kyoryuu Smartphone).
The Jyuden Sentai Kyoryuger consists of: •KyoryuRed controls the "Jyuden GigaKong" [giant ape type] ◦named after the Gigantopithecus •KyoryuBlue controls the "Jyuden Andrewsarchus" [hyena-type] ◦named for Andrewsarchus •KyoryuGreen controls the "Jyuden Ootsunojika" [deer-type] ◦named for Megaloceros •KyoryuYellow controls the "Jyuden Shisochou" [archeopteryx] ◦named for the Archaeopteryx •KyoryuPink controls the "Jyuden Glyptodon" [armadillo-type] ◦named for the Glyptodon

Others have pointed out that they're likely to be fake. If they are real, I'll be excited, it's nice to have ancient beasts other than dinosaurs. Kind off how the mammoth and saber-tooth tiger were cool additions to Zyuranger/MMPR

I kind of hope that's wrong and that it is a dino team, but animal themed zords are good too.

I still hope its all a rumour and we get something other than a third dino themed show, but since that's getting less and less likely all I ask for is something a bit different.
I'd rather robo dinos than "ancient beasts" either way. Plus if its having an ancient beast motif a smartphone device seems a bit off

Okay seriously. Why the hell would a team with "Kyoryu" in their name NOT have any actual dinosaurs for mecha?

I'm fine with ancient beasts that aren't Dinos, but they really need to step things up. Those animal choices are so dull, especially when they have ancient beasts as a theme...

Wait, what is the difference between this topic and the one we were already discussing?

I'm very much looking forward to this. Let's hope the rumors ring true, because for all the problems Wild Force had, and as much as I was iffy on the whole Aux. Zord concept, I did enjoy the looks of them. And to be honest: I watch Sentai for the mechs.
Except Goseiger. Goseiger wa sjust awesome all the way through. |
