When I first played Revelations, I wasn't a fan. It felt very busy. Very forced. The fact that you you play four different people in one game is a bit a unnerving at first but the story explains it pretty well. I also wasn't a fan of the bombs. As a guy who primarily did a lot of stabbing and swordplay, I thought the bombs were cheap, until I got to try them all out and some are very, very fun. Of course, there's a reason why AC sticks to the smoke bomb dynamic before and after, as they're the best, but some of the others are just plain funny. Skunk bombs come to mind.
I still consider it the bastard child of the Assassin's Creed series though, but it's grown on me like a red-headed stepchild. Den Defense was Ubisoft's worst idea to date, so much so that I actually made sure to lock down all the Towers except one and let that one continously get attacked three times to meet the Assassin Guild requirement. And, as much as I hate to say it, it frustrates me so much I use a Trainer (Cheat Device) to make sure I win. I hardly ever cheat in games, especially Assassin's Creed, but Den Defense does not belong in these games. |

It's not a double post if it's eleven days later.
Anyhoo, I've got the week off from work for spring break so I decided to just bite the bullet and buy a month of Xbox Live so I can finally play Street Fighter x Tekken online. I'm not doing very well. I've decided that part of my problem is just my team, though, so I'm going to drop Xiaoyu and pick up Lili instead. So far it seems to be working for me and I'm finding the character a lot of fun. She's working nicely with Juri, who I've been maining ever since I first got SSFIV. |

SFxT is pretty fun.
I could never get into it, but still fun nonetheless I remember I mained Rolento and Ogre back when I played (Before they went nerf crazy and before the DLC characters were released).

It's a game I wanted to try for awhile after it first came out - pretty much entirely for Juri - but I didn't pick it up until back in December when I found it on Target's clearance endcap. Even then I've really only done single player until just now. I've yet to win a single match online, but I'm having a lot of fun with it so I don't really mind all that much.

Oh, and the video game I'm playing is Darkstalkers Resurrection, specifically, Darkstalkers 3.
I suck something awful (Gee, I wonder if my opponent is going to pick Rikuo and abuse Cr.LK. Oh wait, yeah. That's exactly what he's gonna do), but it's still fun when I play with friends.

It didn't have the character that would make me gung ho over (One day, Q. One day Capcom will remember you...), but it was fun for what it's worth. I didn't play much online because I was playing during day one, where Hugo splash was unstoppable and Raven could run the clock like a bitch

Powered through Devil May Cry 4 this weekend. I wasn't very fond of how they doubled up for the second half, but que sera sera. I wasn't really in it for the story either, so I had very little idea as to what was actually going on. It was fun, but not a great game by many standards.

I just started replay GTA San Andreas. My plan is to take my time with it and attempt to 100% the game in the process or until Sept, whichever comes first. WHo knows, maybe I'll be able to do it. I mean, I replayed Vice City last year with that intention and managed to pull it off in a month's time, which I did not expect to happen.

As for Assassin's Creed, I enjoyed the entire Ezio trilogy (minus the tower defense garbage), but the third game has made me never want to touch them again. Desmond's story was pretty much given the finger in the end, rendering all 5 games entirely pointless. Not to mention the scripted QTE assassinations instead of being able to do my own ruined a lot of it to. Last edited by Dr Kain; 03-17-2013 at 11:28 PM.. |
