Question for those who own the korean version of this toy (blue boarder box/captain king)
Does your "gold" just look like a metallic yellow than an actual gold paint. I'm attempting to figure out if this is normal for this version of the toy or if I got a dud. I did my research before buying and every place I read said that all versions of the toy where the same in paint. I'm confused why something so obvious would go unnoticed Any input would be appreciated. This guy is going back if it's not normal for the more expensive Jp release. Got my hands on a first release Jp gokaioh to compare.
In case anyone is wondering the differences are: Barley any over and under spray on Jp. Korea has it in abundance. Ruff edges are everywhere. Yellow metallic paint instead of actual gold paint on the Jp "Face strap" painted over on korean vs Jp left red. Underpaint. Plastic shows through paint in some spots as the coverage is inconsistent throughout Packaging is a blister bubble and not card for Korea. This is an issue because the way it's packaged leaves rub marks on the silver on gokai racer. Plastic feels the same. Hopefully someone who was in the same boat as I was when having to choose which to get will see this post. The misinformation about them being the same on the web is what lead me to purchase. Spend a little extra and get the Jp or Asian release if you care about the QC of you Sentai mecha. Last edited by rego; 01-24-2014 at 11:51 AM.. |
