If youre paying $80 for a figuart, youre doing it wrong. When i was in New York i visited Image Anime, the guy there was impressed that a Brit had heard of them, but their prices were for the most part way overboard. I get they need a profit to cover the expense of running their store, but if i ever make it back, im browsing, not buying.
I totally get that stores have to make their cut, i totally understand that, but Kapow toys in the UK have a preorder up for SHF Agito Shining Form as Bandai is starting to be open to importing them to the UK. Their preorder is for £28 (less than $45 converted). Thats incredibly reasonable and not a huge margin, and this is the trial run to see if the market is suitably there. Savvy collectors really shouldnt be getting stung by these prices when theres plenty of avenues to get them imported that will cost less in the long run. Payment isn't due until they actually get it in their hands. They send you a reminder a couple of weeks before it's actually released, but you can pay anywhere from when you preorder to when it is released. |

On the flip-side though, they're one of the best when it comes to bluefin-distributed releases. At least then the prices are in line with every other place. Older Figuarts tend to be reasonably priced as well.

Jesus christ, I think I'm going to need to buy a little couch just to pose Bravo on now...
Brilliant way to display him.
