Kabuto Episode 8
Awwwwwwwwwwwww yeah! Starting out with a rider on rider battle! He had his gun slashed off of him. How does that equal a trip to the ER? So if somebody cooks something for you, you should cook something for them in return? I can totally get behind that logic to be honest. Makes sense that you in return for having a meal made (at home) by somebody other then yourself, you'd at least return the favor of cook that person a meal. It is a bit weird but I can dig it. Should they really be speaking about Worm and Shadow inside a hospital? Especially as loudly as they are when they're just walking down hallways? Somebody could hear them and for all they know, the Worm is in the hospital. If it hears them, the thing has instant meals to try and get. So it probably isn't all that smart to be speaking of such things out in the open. Why do I get the feeling Tendou and Hiyori are going to end up becoming a thing? Smoking kills you. Do you see that people? If you smoke you won't notice when monster appear around you and thus have the best opportunity to kill you. So basically it's the same as saying there's no I in team and friendship is magic and all that jazz? That is so not a white wedding. Damn this is one big church. This puts the super churches we have over here to shame I do believe. I mean come on, this one has a freaking fountain and a cafe in it. What other churches have that? Tendou...as a priest... "Bitch let's make this a quickie, I have tofu to make." Pissed off much Yaguruma? Even the Zectors fight? Coolio. Well tis was episode eight. Like episode seven, it was pretty darn good. It had a pretty decent story (though it didn't really add all that much to the main plot), some nice character interactions, and as always some pretty tight action. Another good episode right here.

Well I made it up to episode 11 of Kabuto and I'm really enjoying it. Like maybe more than Gaim now.
Well so TheBee only appears for like 3 episodes? Does the suit appear again? Well Drake looks pretty good, but an interesting character? I don't know there could be more to talk about, but not now. |

Drake is a very interesting character. _________________________________________________________________________ Super-1 Episode 25: Jin Dogma is definitely more menacing than Dogma was. This Magnet monster and Commander Onibi's plan was just deadly trying to force this Airline company to join them and if they didn't they would drag down planes out of the sky. It's great that the Junior Rider Squad is actually helpful to Kazuya and doesn't drag him down at all. Super-1 one was great with his plans and his power hands. Jin Dogma's monster actually feel that they have a shot against Super-1 more than Dogma's.

Agito Episode 2
Don't you mean who the heck is that guy? Or is the what because of how he just delivered a single kick to a monster and killed it when you didn't seem to even faze it with your advanced weaponry? Pretty nice opening theme. Like the Kuuga one, I use to have a bit of disliking to it. But after listening to it a couple of times I really warmed up to it. Now I'd say that I quite enjoy it. Not the best theme I've ever heard, but it isn't terrible. Also I find it pretty damn funny how the opening video is pretty much all of them in a motorcycle race. Well it pretty much means that you guys didn't really test out the weapons that much to see if they would work against the unidentified enemy. Plus while the Scorpion is cool looking, it's a pistol. You'd need something like a shotgun for this type of situation firearm wise. After all, this is (well what I presume at least) a super powered demon. Pistols aren't going to do jack to it. "Whether or not that's good or bad is up to you." He's fighting a black letter shaped Pokemon? So they brought up Kuuga...okay knowing that little memo TV-Asahi made saying that it isn't really a sequel to Kuuga, and how fans are free to make of it as they so please, should I just treat it as Kuuga's sequel? Or are the connections between the two not that many in numbers? These two aren't on the best of terms are they? Wait, isn't this the trailer they deploy out in? Do they just sit around in it all day waiting for shit to happen? They seriously can't be given an office or anything? Anyways I do like how they're treating this like an actual case just like they did in Kuuga. Shows that while not the best force to handle these situations, the police and military aren't totally useless in tokusatsu...though that depends on the series. Some of them can be pure awesomeness. Is Mana fucking psychic or something? Seriously what the hell is with these guys and putting their victims in trees? This is not the tree from Sleepy Hollow guys! Can I just say that the professor's house is really cool looking? It's like a combination of your typical Japanese styled house and condos you see here in the states. It's like if the house from the Ju-On series was more pretty looking and more Americanized. I smell some weird ass mystical shit. Oh God not this shit again! This is going to be a reoccuring thing isn't it? Dammit Agito, you already have something that annoys me, and it isn't a character, lack of action, or story! It's this fucking annoying whining! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!! You know I don't quite get something. If the monsters can stop the bullets telepathically and destroy them using telepathy as well, why not just turn the bullets around and send them at the person who fired? Probably get rid of that person quicker. Awwwwww yeah. I've seen reviews of G3's SHF and by far the coolest thing included is the Destroyer. And hot damn does it look even more kick ass in the show. It's like if somebody gave Ash from Evil Dead a suit of armor. All I have to say is bitchin. So the henshin is pretty much Kuuga's, except he has to hit the sides of the belt? Okay then. I do like the belt a bit more then Kuuga's. I really love that pointed circle theme it has going on. Anyways the henshin like Kuuga's is alright. Don't really get why he has to hit the sides of the belt though. His weapons come out of his belt Black RX style? Neato. A new form already? Huh, that was quick. You usually have to wait 5 to 10 episodes for a new form. Storm Form (rhyming is fun) is pretty nice looking. It still has the flaws though of the main suit as I've stated before, but I kinda dig this one more. Mostly because it's blue. The Storm Halberd is pretty wicked looking too. Come on Hikawa! Kick some monster ass! Why did that thing explode out of nowhere? I still don't get this halos of light. Bad Agito! Bad! Anyways that's episode two. Not too shabby of an episode to be honest with you all. There was a small little story here which was nice to see. Though I do put emphasis on the word small. It was mostly just about Hikawa trying to piece together what happened to the one family. I guess towards the second half a second story came in with the new family being picked off, but it didn't come off as important as the one involving Hikawa. As for adding to the main story, it introduced a new form for Agito, and that's pretty much the only important thing I noticed. As far as the characters go, nothing really developed as far they go in an individual sense. There was a bit of development of the relationship between Hikawa and that other cop, but other than that, development was kinda lacking here. I shouldn't really expect too much though since we're only two episodes in and they still have to establish who is who and what not. The action once again was decent, but not too impressive. It was nice to have a longer action scene than the one in the first episode, but it still doesn't have me going "Wow that was awesome!" The spear fighting was sort of cool, but it was pretty basic. Kinda sad I haven't seen Hikawa go full kick ass yet though on the enemies considering he has a huge freaking arsenal at his disposal. But I digress. Episode two was fairly average as far as rider episodes go. It's as good as the first episode, but they haven't left me as impressed other series have (and considering 555 episode 2 is one of the best rider episodes I've ever seen, seems odd that another episode 2 is so lackluster). Obviously it has my attention enough to where I'll keep watching for now, but it really needs to pull me in like other shows have done. If it doesn't, then I don't think Agito will be viewed past episode 5.

The name drop of No. 4 is pretty much the only Kuuga reference in Agito. The idea that the two shows would be linked was dropped pretty early and whether or not you consider Agito to be a direct sequel to Kuuga or not really has no impact on your Agito experience.

Yeah it would have been awesome if the two shows were connected and Yusuke and Ichijou teamed up with Shouichi and Hikawa would have been so much fun.

I finished up the net movies for Wizard in Magic Land. Darned entertaining, the lot of them. Nice guest appearance by MagiMother.
Not without some trepidation, I move on to the actual film now. |

Agito Episode 3
This is what happens when you make your suit powered by batteries. So does Shouchi black out when he turns into Agito? If so that's quite the different route to take with it. Though it could end up getting weird later on. I don't know, I guess I'll just have to see where it goes. I have to agree with what's his name here. If they can easily make the G3 suits, why not just mass produce them for that unit? They can have a small little squad/army of G3s that fight the Unknown similar to the Riotroopers and Zectroopers. It makes sense from the viewpoint of a force trying to win a fight against enemies that they need all the firepower then can get their hands on or create. That does bring up a good point. Why did Agito attack Hikawa? So Houjo is just bitter that Hikawa got picked for G3 instead of him? Well that would certainly explain the rivalry. First the bodies are in trees and now they're in dirt. Man the Unknown really have a weird way of disposing the bodies. And thus the police continue to actually work on this like an actual case. They're doing everything you would see a detective do on a case in a show like Law and Order, CSI, and all of that jazz. Once again it's very nice to see the police actually do something then just sit around while our buggy hero does all of the work. Shouchi does bring up a point. How does somebody with amnesia live? They can't remember anything about their past, so it does make it hard to think about how they'll live in the future. I'm quite curious to know if this mindset will play a fairly nice role within the series, as well as help develop Shouchi. Thank God this family has Shouchi It's a bottle with a coin in it. How is that a big deal? Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww Why do I get the feeling that when this puzzle opens up, these guys are going to appear? Well it seems that Shouchi has found a real challenge in the strength of his opponents. This should be interesting, especially since it's looking like this may be a two parter. The fuck are those things? Well with the third episode down, I'm getting closer to completing the first five and having to pass judgement if I'll continue to watch or not. So how was this episode? Meh. Whereas the first two had very little story but still had a small little something to hook the viewer's interest, this one I found to not really have one at all. Nothing really stood out as a story and the whole episode just seemed like random parts of a day stitched together. Because of that, it's easy to know that I'm going to say that the episode doesn't really add anything to the main plot. So as far as the story element goes, this episode pretty much failed. There was a bit of character development though, which is always welcome. It was mostly restricted to seeing Hojou get a little friendlier towards Hikawa, and Shouchi as a whole. We saw that Shouchi does have doubts about what he should do in life, which makes sense for the reasons I stated earlier. It is a little odd that he suddenly became happy again, but going by what he said, I'd assume realizing you have a spot somewhere would in fact make anyone happy, even if it's the spot of a maid. So while the episode lacked story, it definitely had some character development, and some pretty nice CD at that. Unfortunately that's the only aspect the episode accels at regarding the main three. The action was once again pretty dull and unimpressive. It was too short and didn't really amount to anything. I know I sound like I'm being rough, but action does play a good part in Kamen Rider. And considering the other Rider show I'm watching (Kabuto) has phenomenal action, and I recently finished up a series (555) with equally impressive action means that I'm going to expect just a bit more in the action aspects. So far Agito doesn't have me impressed, and this episode had the worst so far. So episode three while it had me entertained (the family failing at their chores is bloody hilarious), it isn't that great of an episode. It doesn't have a story, it had pretty bad action, and while it had some nice character development, that isn't enough to deem the episode good as well as carry it. Things aren't looking good for Agito.

So I just watched the Wizard movie. It's nothing groundbreaking, but a fun watch if you're already a fan of Wizard. It's got a surpirising touch of darkness too, what with straight up showing the bones of all the people Sorceror kidnapped and killed, especially the kid's mother. I mean, you know it's all gonna get undone in the end, but damn. Not to mention how many people got phantomised offscreen while the final fight goes down.
Also watched the net movies. They were fun as usual, especially the ones where Misa completely fails to tell the difference between Wizard riders and other series Riders. Also, that seems to be a Power Rangers reference in the White Wizard one, saying that Magi Mother came back from New Zealand to be in the net movie. |
