You'll be doing both by the end of the saga. I cried more though, and not because it possibly a bad ending or stupid.

Oh and hey, the Kaixa subplot was pretty interesting. With the fact that it has this deadly belt that apparently kills anyone except Kusaka...I've heard things about this guy. None of them good. But so far? The scene where he's apparently in every sport ever was pretty funny and his personality is Similar to Ren form Ryuki's so far. So, without spoiling anything, on a scale of one to ten 'Fuck you Micchy!'s" how ad does Kusaka get? |

The difference between Kusaka and Micchy is that Micchy actually has an arc to him becoming a dick. Michhy is a pretty heroic guy for ten episodes or so, then he discovers Zangetsu's identity and starts being conflicted between loyalty to Kouta and Team Gaim and loyalty to his brother and Yygdrasil's basicly heroic mission. His problem is that he trie to hedge his bets and work with both sides, and eventually just snaps and wants to control everyone.
Kusaka? As I remember it we get like one or two episodes of him being an arrogant jerk but otherwise an okay guy, the he just goes full steam ahead into being a massive asshole and trying to manipulate everything so that Mari will love him. |

Kusaka when you find out his motives you can actually kind of justify why he's being a dick, and he's heroic most of the time except for when he messes with Takumi and Kiba.
Super-1 Episode 34: Super-1 getting arrested by Jin Dogma's police was definitely fun to see except they forget that he's super agile, and has super-strength hands too. The siren monster Red Danger proved to be a crafty opponent for Super-1, so far all of Princess Yokai's monsters have given him a difficult challenge. The Junior Rider Squad member Masaru taking in the Siren wasn't a good idea but he learned from so that's good. Looks like another Professor Ghost monster next, I like Professor Ghost so that should be fun.

Speaking of Faiz, Faiz isn't "bad" so much as monumentality boring. The reason I was able to finish Kuuga, is minus the dated effects and clashing tone, it had Ichijou (one of THE best supporting characters in Rider EVER) and some genuinely focused, and strong world building. To put that in perspective, my most hated Rider show gave me stuff worth watching up until the end, whereas I dropped Faiz in like...the thirties? The show was literally about nothing and even when it was about something the shows complete utter disregard for continuity made it laughable. In the first twenty episodes Takumi goes through literally the same character arc over and over again. Then there was the way there'd be a ten second fight at the start, which wrapped up the ten second fight at the end of the last episode and then this fight would never be referenced again despite being the most important part of the episode. Honestly the characters were so disconnected from the suit actors you may as well be in another show as the middle 19 minutes featured a bunch of antagonistic douchebags ironing and not doing a lot else.

KIT/MCS released episode 35 of Stronger, in which great effort is undertaken to disguise the return of a character who's name is in the episode's title: V3.
Yup, we're into the final stretch of Stronger, which features the return of all six previous Riders, both in and out of costume. I hope the rest of these don't take too long, as it's a ton of fun to see all the Riders working together. |

Movie War 2010 does give an ending to the Rider War and to the whole 'all the worlds are going to be destroyed' thing, just one that is not well written and hindered by last minute executive meddling. And it doesn't so much as ignore the ending of 31 so much as pretend there was still another arc or two of Rider War stuff that happened in between 31 and the movie that we never see.

Yeah, it really sucks that most of the big Rider War happens totally offscreen. 31 ends with all the Riders and Diend turning on Decade, and the movie comes in with Decade having defeated all but seven of the Riders (including Showa and non-main Riders).
It really feels like the writers thought they were getting a full 50 episodes, then had to cobble something together at the last minute. Though at least the action is still the superb Decade style fighting that the rest of the series has. |
