With the third series starting in a matter of hours, I felt a discussion thread was in order that wasn't the Doctor Who thread
So, who's a fan?

I actually LOVED this show, but I dunno I guess I'm not a fan? I know that doesn't make much sense but I mean like, when the second season ended on a cliffhanger I haven't been itching to like get ahold of that third season and now the third season is here and I'm just sort of like 'oh'.
I'll probably watch it, but I like what Elementary did with the characters more, even if Sherlock tells the better story.

Just did the first episode of the new season. The only other episode I've ever watched was the very first. Anyhow both are hilarious and can't wait for the next ones. Probably should catch up on the old ones too.

Anyway I loved 'The Empty Hearse', after Gatiss penned the weakest one last season it was nice to see him doing such a strong opener. I KNEW they wouldn't properly explain how Sherlock did it EDIT: Just saw this on tumblr too: Moffat and Gatiss were just trolling fans with this ep

The episode was really good, especially anything with Sherlcok's parents. Although John being near-burned alive was really scary, especially being a claustophobe. That would be my personal hell.
Oh, and Sherlock totally survived through Method 2. You know the one...

Finally caught this, great stuff!
Been itching for a new episode for a long time and I have to say that this one did not disappoint. I'm sure we'll never really know how he survived but the "theories" presented seem pretty plausible so that was fun.

Holy crap. I know people were complaining that the first two episodes were more light hearted but damn that sure made up for it. Amazing stuff.

I just finished watching the first season and holy crap. I didn't expect him to be Moriarty, my money was on Mycroft being Moriarty and playing Sherlock since childhood. Like how he knew about that boy's drowning and such from his past during the bomb run. But it still could be.
Curse you, Moffat. |
