Random observations:
Is it just me or do the Hoppers really serve no purpose? They just go around being whiny (although that's not rare for Kabuto riders), and they beat up a few lackey worms every once in a while. Same goes for Tsurugi, sans the fighting, but's awesome so he gets a free pass. I loved Drake's little love story; it was pretty harsh for a kid's show. Kagami and Tendou just seem to be pissed off at everything, and nothing really makes sense in regards to Hiyori and the Natives. I'm kinda worried about how they'll wrap up Dark Kabuto, Tsurugi's actual identity, Tadoroko and Hiyori being worms, and the mystery behind Zect in less than 7 episodes.
Oh, and as bleak as the odds look, I still want to see all of the riders henshin together, like their very own Sentai, Insect Sentai Miscommunicationranger.

Anyway, with only 7 episodes left and it being over a year and a half since I've seen Kabuto, I'm just gonna let you finish :P

I haven't seen much Showa myself (and only one episode of Black), but I agree. Out of them, Black is the least silly and seems to have a good plot. Also, Shadow Moon. His foot step are so menacing.

The last bit of Kabuto is heartbreaking to watch. It only goes do hill from here. Brace yourself. Especially if you're a Sasword fan.

sasword and the hoppers "saved" the series for me, they werent acting like idiots and were just having fun with the part. kabuto was a d*uche end of story, thebee zecter was an idiot, he left yaguruma for going a little and trying to kill kabuto (which is wat zect wanted), but he stayed with kageyama after betraying the organization worked and with the worms. and drake, auughee he is not worth my words

Honestly, the secondary characters is what made Kabuto so endearing to me. They were goofy, they were funny, they provided great foils to Tendou (Be it dramatic or hysterical), and they pretty much saved the series.

I liked Sasword at first when he was a somewhat snobby guy (but in a funny way) that spent most of his time trying to out do Tendou in all things. He was also a good fighter with a poison blade and a cool suit design (both forms). That was cool. I liked that Sasword. But then he losses everything, stops being a Rider, forgets how to fight, and stops having anything to do with the plot of the show and is reduced to pure comedic relief...that's not all that funny.

I consider Sasword to be the best example of how this show started great and ended up being painful to watch in the end. At least Drake was written out of the show when he had no more use, but this poor bastard was force fed into every episode becoming nothing but a joke all the while.


Hoppers...cool idea, but utterly pointless. Aside from their story going no where (Don't get me started on the suicide pact BS), the Hoppers powers were pointless when there's 3 Zectors not in use. And I don't care about that dumb sword uses the Zectors. It's just a waste of perfectly good Zectors.


Basically, I sum up Kabuto as a show that started great with great ideas for plot and subplots that seem to be adding up to some kind of finale, but then somewhere along the way it lost focus. The great set ups lead no where and over half the cast becomes pointless.


Now, I'm going to try and destory the world...Kagami is awesome. Do you concur, Coturos?

Sasword is, in my opinion, the only good tertiary Rider on Kabuto. He was a fun character, he had an awesome suit design (in Rider mode, at least - Masked Sasword is possibly the worst suit in Rider history), and a good story arc. I was really bummed when he died because he brought a whole lot of fun to the show that I really missed after he was gone, even if he had gotten pretty clowny near the end.

i dont remember wen he stopped trying to beat tendou, he was always going i am at the top of dadada. as for drake, he picked make up over not letting an amnesiac 10 year old get kidnapped..... he can suck it.

though for the first two episodes he was pretty whiney
