Now anyway, this price really is too high. I'm gonna wait for a huge sale, get loads of cup onus or just not get this at all. It really is a buzz kill. For the most hyped toy in this line, it's just to much they're asking for. |

Not a fan of the price, but this is my favorite mecha by far. If everything looks good as separate parts, and combined with Tigerzord I may have to get it.

Two Hundred Dollars. I don't have words to express the level of disgust I feel for Bandai and the entire over-priced Legacy line. I just do not.

I think the price would be more palatable if they split them up like the original toy and staggered their releases.

Honestly, I feel if it were split up, they'd probably price Red Dragon at $150 and the Assault team at $100, and that's lowballing it.

Am I the only one who's not at all surprised by the price?
1.)Legacy Megazord was cheap because it was 2010 rehash, and isn't of the same quality of the proceeding legacy zords. 2.)Thunder Megazord was more complex/expensive than the original Megazord. 3.)Legacy Dragonzord and Tigerzord were $80, and a lot less complex than even the original Megazord. You may think there wasn't that big a difference between the prices of the originals, but Dragonzord and Tigerzord had electronics and 8" figures to pad the price. They'd have ended up costing about half the price of the Megazords if you removed those elements. So when factoring everything together I expected $150 - $200 depending on whether they cut corners or not. For $200 I assume they went all out, so that should make people happy when more is revealed. At the end of the day, it is still a Zordbuilder toy. In my opinion, Zordbuilder places an upper limit on joint strength, and that makes it a bit disappointing.

Well I don't want to alarm anyone but I believe $200 is indeed MSRP. Diamond Comics, the distributer I use in my line of work and supplier for all comic book stores, has put up their listing for the Legacy Thunder Megazord in the retailer ordering system. Even through them this set is $199.99. BBTS is NOT marking this set up as some have suggested. Further more this thing ships in a case of 1, meaning it's rather large.

For $200 I assume they went all out, so that should make people happy when more is revealed. The Dragon Zord needed to incorporate the Zord Builder ports to match those of the Megazord's. Call it a necessary evil. In contrast, the Tigerzord (the first release truly unencumbered by a previous line's decisions) uses them sparingly and in such a manner to not impact the overall stability of the figure.

It might be substantially bigger. That's how the original was compared to the Dino MegaZord. In addition, if it comes with the stand I'm sure that factors into the price too. That thing wasn't small.

Entertainment Earth put up their listing, also $200, but they included some info.
"Defeat evil with the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Legacy Thunder Megazord! By harnessing the "power of thunder," Zordon and Alpha 5 transformed the Power Rangers' original Dinozords into more powerful Thunderzords. This Legacy edition of the Thunder Megazord can be separated into individual Zords, or combine together to form the colossal Thunder Megazord! The Legacy Thunder Megazord measures 13-inches tall x 4-inches long. This collectible item includes die-cast metal parts and metallic paint, and can morph together with the Legacy White Tigerzord (sold separately) to form Mega Tigerzord! The Thunder Megazord can also combine with other items in the Zord Builder collection to form awesome never before seen Zord combinations (each sold separately)! The Legacy Thunder Megazord is an essential piece for Power Ranger fans young and old!" http://www.entertainmentearth.com/pr...0#.Vd5PsPlViko Personally I'm bummed about the size. I always hated how the original towered over everything else, and it looks like that will be the case here as well. |

Not surprised really. He is supposed to be bigger than the tigerzord since Won Tiger is the same height as Ryuuseiou.
