I do prefer adaptations being closer to the original than being their own.
I will never not be upset over the anime adaptation of Black Cat. the manga is amazing and the anime is a pile of dog shit. if you are gonna go with original additions to the adaptation, do it like MonMusu did it. whenever they went off the manga adaptation, they added in fun stuff or just made the scene easier to understand than it was in the manga. like, I love Cerea's scene where she eats a carrot stick.

I finished Shimoneta, I have not laughed that hard at an anime since Outbreak Company. What a great show!

I saw the first two episodes of Is This a Zombie?. Not bad, has some pretty funny moments and it's watchable. I might watch more, but I'm not sure.

So I decided to check out the Corpse Party series. The first one release is Corpse Party: Missing Footage. Besides the blood and dark opening, it was a waste of time. Nice animation, but that's about it. It was dull and I didn't care for the characters. Not sure if I want to check Corpse Party: Tortured Souls or not? Grade: D

I've been watching Hidamari Sketch lately. I was honestly caught off guard by how enjoyable it is--it's just, really enjoyable. I think after Monogatari, this is the Shaft-iest I've ever seen Shaft. And that's always a lot of fun. Art and animation-wise it's just a weird, fun thing, the voice acting is great, and the laid-back humor is just...enjoyable. Everything being out of order is also a nice touch. Weird big ol calm little experience, this.
Also the ending theme is really good. I'm only 6 episodes in, but this series has like 4 seasons and a bunch of ovas...hopefully whole thing is this strong. |

I would, but it seems like the only ones in the US are for the PSP and Vita. I sold my PSP in 2009 and I don't own a Vita.
