Idk if this is still popular like it once was in 2011 or so, but judging by what I've seen that people don't really like it now, but Boukenger is one of my favorite Sentai seasons, it's not perfect and has its issues but what series doesn't?
An excellent cast who grows together as the series goes on, one of the best Reds, Pinks and Sixths ever and a great Blue and Yellow, deep themes with indirect references to earlier Sentai, an interesting villain dynamic and the treasure hunting theme was awesome.

Then again, I was bored out of my mind with Shinkenger and I remember barely any of it, so I could be very wrong.

Ninnin vs ToQ Raw: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/kfAZFfcxv7d9YNgltK8
I like this movie, it's balanced between ToQ and Ninnin portion. The Furries got a nice cameo there. The way they handled ToQger as a return team is sooo nice, I like it. P/S: Tokatti and Mio got actual relationship, best movie ever Last edited by Luminous; 03-24-2016 at 05:02 PM.. |

I've got a thought question about Jyuohger, now I know it's still early and we're only like 6 episodes in, but does anyone else feel a disconnect between the DeathGaliens' motives and the Jyuohgers' goals?
Meaning, there doesn't seem to be any resistance whatsoever coming from the DeathGaliens from keeping the Jyuohgers' to accomplish their goals, they aren't trying to keep the Jyumans from returning to Jyuland or anything, not that they have any knowledge on that yet but there should've been just a hint of them investigating what is ailing/bothering the Jyuohgers and the exploitation of that ordeal should have begun IMO. The villains are in NEED of some work. I think that's where Ninninger did a good job with the villains with establishing a strong premise of a rationale to keep the heroes from achieving a higher power so that they can obtain it to build a world dominion. Nothing the DeathGaliens have done so far even remotely has the same amount of firepower the Kibaoni clan has done. There's very little explanation as to what the "Blood Game" actually entails, as we've only had one little thing about it and it's to amuse Genis, but nothing more than that. What is their endgame with the "Blood Game?" What else are they trying to accomplish with that? I feel the main focus right now is that the Jyuohgers are only trying to go back to Jyuland; which it SHOULD be the obvious endgame/plot, however nothing more is happening and fighting against the DeathGaliens are just a side gig that just needs to be done. There's no REAL struggle happening, just battles that have no war behind it. The Jyuohgers aren't even trying to investigate what the "Blood Game" actually is, and how they can exploit their weakness to prevent any more destruction from happening. The hero/villain dichotomy just isn't mixing well and I fear it could very well be a detriment for future arcs in the series. But other than that, I love the characters of our heroes thus far, love the development of what they are like and what each of them individually want to accomplish. Now, I might just be overreacting here but given that we're 6 episodes in (too early I know, but still, lol), just seems like the formula has been established and there's no more potential growth of meaningful conflict between the heroes and villains. I think what he means is how Ohranger was originally gonna go "dark and serious" but given the major tragic incidents that happened within Japan that year the writers had to adjust the show along the way to avoid adding insult to injury so to speak.
Also, being an anniversary show they probably were under a lot of pressure and having to change the direction of the show most likely did not help this.

I think they're referring to the writing changes Ohranger had to undergo after the Sarin gas attacks in Japan?
