If you could choose (or prioritize buying) only one, which Figuarts would you get: Magnetstates or Cosmicstates?
While you may of course base your suggestion on product value (design quality, accessories, relative rarity, articulation, etc.), you may also bring in the following consideration: If you had Meteor and Meteor Storm and wanted a four-figure display with the two of them and Fourze Basestates, would you rather the fourth figure be Magnetstates or Cosmicstates? |

Cosmic for me, easily. It's not a diss at Magnet, I just like the look of the Cosmic States suit much more, so I specifically went after that one first when I started going after Fourze SHFs. I also own Magnet (plus Elek & Fire), but the biggest reason I got it when I did was Mandarake had a dirt cheap one (like less than 1000 yen, back when the exchange rate was much more favorable). I would've picked it up eventually, but Magnet wasn't a priority to chase down like other SHFs have been for me.

If you're doing first and final forms, Cosmic States. If you want the more robust figure, Cosmic States.

Magnet States is relatively obscure, falling into that category of upgrades that were quickly forgotten when the final form debuted. Cosmic States saw a lot more use.
Also, when you added a poll to your reply, it was added to every other page of this 1,682-page thread. I'm guessing you didn't intend that. |

Aw, Nippon Yasan bumped my Gattack order to the second shipment. Looks like I've got another month to go before getting him.

Ok random - apparently I didn't pay close attention to pics of the box when it came out, and it's not like missed translations haven't appeared on TN boxes before, but I was not expecting Gold Drive to show up with "Gord Drive" on the box. Still, it's cool that mine's here now. I think I'll wait to open it until I get my Web stuff (I have a thing about opening that month's Tamashii Nations stuff together). Looks damn good though.
Also scored a Machine Decader as part of the same AmiAmi order with Gold Drive (one finally lasted more than a day on their pre-owned section), so that leaves the original Battle Hopper & Beat Chaser as the only bikes I want to track down. It's nice that there are only a few older releases left that I've yet to track down. |

So picked up a few Figuarts over the course of NYCC. Gold Drive, Kaixa, Ryuuranger, but the one I was most worried about was Kyoryu Red.
His wrist joints were as stupid-scary tight as everyone else's, so I tried to figure out a quick way to try and fix them without breaking the joints altogether. So I put a small drop of shock oil on both of the joints and worked the hands around the ball peg to get them into the cracks, applied gentle outward pressure and both hands popped right off the pegs without much issue. Lastly, I dipped both ball pegs into a bit of boiled, hot water for about 20 - 30 seconds and used an exact-o knife to shave the softened plastic down a bit. Now all the hands pop on and off super-easily while still keeping a solid grip. Gonna be doing this for any other future hand swap issues from now on.
