TMW you're lukewarm on a suit design, but it's probably the only way to get what you want

Most of them don't even know about it yet, because remember, it's only catalogue leaks, no official reveals by Toei, TV Asahi or in the Telebi magazine. And to quote Tom from TokuNet here: "It's a faux pas in Japan to share leaked things"

I agree that these suits seem far more suited for Figuarts, but as I said on Twitter: the big problem is these also require more body types and remoulding than any other team they've done before. If they couldn't sell those they're probably less likely to gamble on a team that costs far more to produce.
In short: If these happen everyone has to buy red on release at full price if they want more |

It's kind of a damned if you do, damned if you don't. The very thing that would make these appealing to collectors makes them more expensive to produce.
Honestly, if they were REALLY smart, they'd release the main team boys all at once, as Red... while cool, isn't really anything special on his own. |

I believe you, but I'd have thought nerds were nerds across cultures. (Also, is it just me, or do you think Tom Constantines will one day be the first full-fledged British Sentai member?) EDIT: if you search for キュウレンジャー on Twitter, there are hundreds of native Japanese speakers sharing and talking about the leaks. So faux pas or not, the Japanese fandom is talking. I just wish my Japanese/google translate was good enough to understand what they're saying. Last edited by Kamen Rider Lucha; 12-12-2016 at 12:31 AM.. |

I'm not sure how that contributes to the conversation but I felt like mentioning that.

Phew finally managed to thread through the entire thread. Lots of good discussion going on for this new series. I think for sure Toei are trying some new stuff for the franchise. A regular series female Green. Wasn't it only last year in Niniger we had our first female green albeit in a movie?
Good spot by someone who said the core team were all odd numbers and the other four were all even numbers. Numbering also often times indicate "rank" so theoretically Sasori Orange is second in command? I don't know. The mecha looks to be damn chunky. Hmm not my favourite but it totally reminds me of Gekiranger Gekitouja where it was just about purely leg swaps. Now it's swapping the arms and legs but the core body doesn't do much. I predict the next mecha we get is probably a support mecha which will be an arm/leg and then after a support mecha that is just core body to support adding 4 other limbs. The final one might be a core body that can support adding all other 8 limbs. |
