Now that I think about it.
The moment sawatari punches the Smash without batting an eye and then being : "OOOUUUCCHHHHH it hurts !!!!" felt very Otoya. I'm too lazy to check all of Kiva again, but that's easily something that could have happened in Kiva. |

Yeah, so far Sawatari's basically if Otoya tried to be cool and sinister but still has traits of Otoya lol.

Damn, when they said "war" they weren't kidding. That stuff felt way too real for a short while. Same goes to the personal conflicts in this episode, Misora's scene especially.
I like where this show is going and I like that we're getting some new baddies. Although I don't know how much of a threat the Hard Smashes are going to be now that they've been taken down already. Maybe they get some power-up and they just slightly repaint the suits. I mean the Castle-guy did call themselves the "ultimate evolutions" so they have to turn gold at some point Speaking of gold, Grease enters the scene. Well, technically he does so next week but still. I never watched Kiva so I can't really complain about the actor too much (what I've seen of this guy so far is pretty good though) but as a character, he seems interesting. He gives off that vibe that he might not really be into war but rather just looks for a personal challenge in a fight. I feel like when things really go south he might side with the Touto Riders. And things can't go too far south anymore because they already are in Touto! Hah! ... Because Touto is the south-eastern part of Japan? Right? ... Okay. Anyways, the Sclash Jellies have arrived. As a system it's fine, I like the sounds and the concept (the transformation sequence is cool), it reminds me of the Genesis Driver in a way which I also like a lot. But Cross-Z Charge is just... I don't know. I like the jelly gimmick and the clear plastic looks cool but I still like regular Cross-Z better. Grease, on the other hand, looks awesome, can't wait to see this guy in action. Still, the fight scenes in this episode were pretty good, you just gotta love Ryuga's fist getting stuck in the tree and Sentou kicking his butt for just using the Sclash Driver without listening to his warnings |

this has promise. First the sparkling build seems to be evenly matched against the hard smash so i think without the 3 of them fighting him he is more that a match for any one the only bit where they get the upper hand is all 3 of them attacking at once so im going to say that the sparkling form is equal more than enough power for him to hold them off but the sclash driver seems to sacrifice function for power output. the build system is multipurpose and can adapt but the sclash driver seems just to be raw power and a single weapon system. so over all its powerful for now but it looks to me like your standard 3rd rider system. I think that the sclash driver will be fairly powerful for the next 2 months then its going to be less useful. Also im thinking the extra full bottles are whats powering up the hard smash. Them having them when they transform is why they are so much stronger each on had 2 so im guessing it was meant to make sure they could over power the riders.
also i finally got the dragon claws and rabbit tank sparkling today bloody delays (one was the 2nd the other was the 18 of december and they show up on the same day) |

I was wondering how they were going to keep the toys...I mean bottles going. Having one panel for each set of bottles makes sense.
I do like the sclash driver a lot. Maybe it's because it's not overly complicated. Grease is going to be the word for a while, and I'm glad.

i do like having him back, ever since we last saw him as dark kiva in decade ive missed his antics and kinda hope this character is a spiritual successor to him.
Also the way the pandora piece we have is designed i think fairly likely we will get more. The pannel we have now has 8 holes 2 on each side that go all the way through and have a octagonal grove around them. There isn't a reason to do that unless they plan to give us the other parts so i would say that there is a strong chance either we will see a full bottle set in them or they will be released as a group but either way 5 more pare parts needed as for the sclash driver im not that fond of it its a miss with me i just don't like it as much but that will depend if they make some cool upgrades for it |

Only watched 4 episodes of Kiva so I dunno about Otoya. Kind of a cheesy type of dude.
On the other hand, I like Cross-Z Charge. Just need more blue in it. |

Otoya is over the top which is what makes him fun to watch. He is totally convinced of his status as a genius that comes around one in century and that he is gods gift to women, though his only real skills he demonstrates are he is a good enough fighter to take on the monsters with out the ixa system, fighting with only a bladed weapon, being a good person and helping others, and finally a very talented violinist. Most of his boasting is to cover up the fact he is a good person and he is doing it because he just wants to. He doesn't want to admit he just helped them without any other reason. Though he is a skirt chaser

Finally caught up with this episode last night and really enjoyed it!
Grease looks super cool and the actor did a good job making him mysterious and interesting. I feel like he's going to end up helping Sento and Banjou later on in the serious though. Not that I have a problem with that. I was a bit surprised how quickly Banjou got an upgrade as it doesn't feel like that long ago he transformed into a Kamen Rider. That said, I've never really watched a Kamen Rider series before so this could be par for the course. The Hard Smash Trio were pretty funny too so looking forward to more of them hopefully. Finally, I'm glad Sento seems to be fully onboard and starting to accept his past a bit more. Wasn't looking forward to many episodes of him moping. |
