They can change it to an audio cue to make it future proofed. There's already audio frequencies embedded in most TV stuff anyway for other reasons. Kind of surprised toys haven't taken advantage of that tech for their own purposes. And even without embedded audio activation using frequencies people can't hear, they could do other audio activation too. That tech isn't all that pricey.
That tech is getting more and more mileage all over the board. Interesting how it evolved, from where, and all the applications it's getting used for now and the future stuff that'll likely use it too. call me crazy but i think it will probably be the best selling rider belt gimmick in the heisei era because it's easy and more interactive with the show. |

Not only all 13 decks, but Abyss too!
Too bad Alternative isn't included, but at least I have his deck via the Advent Card box set released some years back. |

That thing costs way too much for what it is, it's even more than the Kaixa gear.
I mean it's nice that all those voices and sounds are in the belt, but I still think that this is way overpriced. |

Interview of the actors
source: http://p-bandai.jp/b-boys-shop/speci...26/#orejournal Interview with Takamasa Suga(Shinji Kido/Kamen Rider Ryuki) and Satoshi Matsuda(Ren Akiyama/Kamen Rider Knight) The [CSM Series] is a brand that remakes DX transformation belts using latest technology geared towards adults. The DX V Buckle transformation belt from 2002 and each rider's deck were sold in 2005 under the Complete Selection name, but this time it is renewed to be more show-accurate and close to the "real stuff", becoming a powered-up product. Please tell us your honest feelings regarding the 20th CSM product, the V Buckle, being sold. Suga: The way the entire thing is made feels "real". Matsuda: The sense of size when held by the hand is just right. Suga: Amongst everything, I am happy that we can hear our lines from this belt. It is quite exciting. Matsuda: When strapping the belt on you can hear the sound from the stomach area. Suga: Earlier on, I recorded a lot of the lines, and it's not just the famous lines that will be played as even some of the lines spoken by Shinji and Ren that are related to the story are probably gonna be heard too. I thought this was incredible. This time, we got all 13 rider decks, but also decks such as Ryuki's blank form deck as well as the deck of Kamen Rider Abyss from Kamen Rider Decade included. It is designed to play each rider's lines by pressing a button while the deck is loaded. Out of these lines, which are the most memorable if you had to choose? Matsuda: There was a line that was recorded which left an impression on me. It's from episode 21 and it goes like, "I've changed my mind. I will take down Ryuki myself. So take your filthy hands away from it. One more thing. I will take you down first before dealing with him.” This was Ren talking to Asakura. The second line is Ren talking about Shinji in episode 14, and it goes, "He truly may be an idiot, but he is more human than you or me.” This line just sticks to my heart. Originally Ren and Shinji are supposed to oppose each other, but Ren is not only working together but also taking his side. It is the line that becomes the catalyst that changes their relationship. As for my third favorite I would like to dig in from the summer movie EPISODE FINAL. Ren tells Yui, "Yui, like you said, Shiro Kanzaki may be tricking us. But I will fight. There is nothing else. Even if there is a 1% chance I will trust Kanzaki and his promise." Although the movie was during the TV show, it was telling the "final episode" so the tensions were high during filming, which is why I have strong feelings for it. Suga: For myself, it is a surprising line from episode 1 where Ryuki was in his Blank form, and his only weapon which was a sword broke and he goes, "It's brokeeeennn! Ahhhhh!!!!!!". Ever since the first AR dubbing, I thought it was neatly-acted by suit actor Takaiwa-san who made it clear to me when I was seeing Ryuki's actions and his acting that, "Oh, so it's this kind of character.". The next one is from episode 4. Shinji tells Ren why he is fighting which goes, "Debt! The 30,000 yen that you owe me. I can't die until you pay me back, probably.... How's that?” Hearing "How's that?" as a response from Ren I thought was funny. I thought it illustrated well what Shinji and Ren's relationship is like during recording earlier. Last one I would like to say is "Don't die, Ren." from the movie. Matsuda: I too remember Shinji's "It's brokeeeennn!" line. Suga: Shinji is a straight-up amateur and became a rider by chance. That character of his was quite emphasized it left and impression on me because the heroic and cool character role was given to Ren. This time, you two have been recording many lines. For reference you have been listening to every single line, what were your thoughts hearing yourselves again after 16 years? Matsuda: I thought my voice was at a high volume. Suga: I understand~. It was like impersonationg your character from that time. Matsuda: Exactly. Suga: The vocal qualities have changed. There is also the fact that it was when we were in our 20s too. Matsuda: After Ryuki, Sugacchi(Suga) and I have gained stage experience, and during the course of that experience we would get vocal training. Because of that the vocal range expands, but because of things such as age it won't go further up, but rather go more and more downwards. I have been getting those types of training so when I hear my old voice I think "that's high!" and am surprised. Suga: I think so too. Moreover, Shinji at the time was a character that "stuck out"; it is a bit hard to play the Shinji of that time with that voice. Of course, there is the nostalgia, but there is a physical strain to it (laugh). Matsuda: I remember Shinji's voice at that time, when he shouts "Hey, Ron!" or "Ren!” So hearing the voice samples from that time where we put our hearts into it does tug our hearts. Suga: I know, I know. Thinking 'that line was spoken during that scene at that time~'. The riders in Ryuki transform loading their respectable decks into the V Buckle, there is also the unique henshin poses. Please teach the fans tips on how to do the henshin pose. Suga: At the time, Miyazaki-san the action director said Ryuki's pose was based on Kamen Rider 1's pose and Knight's from Kamen Rider 2's pose. Matsuda: Come to think of it, I do remember being told that. In the case of Knight, I tried to make the line when tugging the arm towards the front in a neatly fashion. Suga: Ryuki's pose is simple, and it's just extending the right arm. But since it is an adult who is posing I would like to say be careful and try not dislocating your shoulders. Please relax your shoulder joints and transform (laugh). Matsuda: To the adults, please stretch and warm up your shoulders first (laugh). Suga: Don't over-do it (laugh). I think that is the important part of it. Stretching your arm sharply as you yell "henshin!" is also important, so don't put too much excessive force (laugh)! Finally, Please send your message towards the Ryuki fans who will be purchasing this product! Suga: When I am at filming locations many crew members and actors who are working with me will come up to me and go. "I watched Ryuki as a child.", and it has me realize just how much "Ryuki" is loved by many. I think it would be wonderful if such people will continue to love Ryuki as well and pass it on to future generations. Please show some love to Kamen Rider Ryuki and this product as well! Matsuda: It has been 16 years since it aired; I think it truly is great that a high quality product for adults such as this is appearing. It really gives a sense of how popular Ryuki is and how powerful the Kamen Rider series is, and that these qualities cannot be duplicated by other contents. Again, it is the passion of those who support Ryuki that makes this possible. Thank you very much. Interview with Takashi Hagino(Takeshi Asakura/Kamen Rider Ohja) and Ryohei Odai(Shuichi Kitaoka/Kamen Rider Zolda) Please tell us your honest feelings regarding the 20th CSM product, the V Buckle, being sold. Hagino: First time I saw it, I thought it was well-made. It is better than the actual belt that was used during filming at the time. Odai: The size is not different from the actual belt so it has a "feeling of realness". What really awestruck me were the intricate details on the waste area. Hagino: I think this will bring a great deal of satisfaction be it decorating your room with it, or actually wearing it. Odai: When this gets released I hope people bring this to an event or an autograph signing. I will autograph the rear surface of the belt (laugh). The riders in Ryuki transform loading their respectable decks into the V Buckle, there is also the unique henshin poses. Please teach the fans tips on how to do the henshin pose. Hagino: For myself, my first advice is to "get into it"! You have to think "I am a Kamen Rider, I will transform". I appeared as Asakura last year on the Kamen Rider Ex-Aid spinoff drama Kamen Rider Brave, and saying "henshin" after 15 years I was very embarrassed (laugh). You can't transform if you are not used to it. So throw away that sense of embarrassment, have a strong feeling of 'I will transform' and do it. By doing that you will succeed in transforming. Odai: From me to you, I would like to say, transform with a 'do or die attitude'. Ryuki riders' henshin poses are impossible to do in one take no matter how hard I try. Look towards your front, strike the pose, and in one take without fail load the card deck into the buckle. Arthur Kuroda (actor of Verde in the 13 Riders special) was the only person who did it with no mistakes (laugh). A gimmick that was inherited from the DX version from back then is the sound effect from the show that is heard when loading the card deck, and this belt now includes the sound effect that appears when "a monster is nearby" as well as when a user's body disintegrates by staying too long inside the mirror world. Hagino: It is exciting when after saying "henshin!" and you load the card deck it gives you the same sound effect from TV. Odai: The fact that the sound effect when a monster is nearby is included feels like some drama is gonna occur when that sound rings. This time, a lot of Kitaoka(Zolda) and Asakura(Ohja)'s lines have been recorded, which are the lines that leave quite the impression? Odai: The one that is used the most like a catchphrase here and there would be from episode 4, "I don't like this kind of messy fighting". This line probably is what best represents Zolda. Also, the line Kitaoka says to Tojo/Tiger in episode 46, "Hey, let me teach you the one condition that will not make you a hero. Thing about a hero is, the moment you try to be one you are disqualified. You are out." is my favorite as well. Also, the line where he tells Goro-chan, "Speaking of, today's weather is bad... I can't see your face Goro-chan...". I like how that has a very sad ring to it. Hagino: I like Asakura's lines too. If I had to pick, it would be episode 17's, "I get irritated... when I am in a place like this." And in episode 40 where he says, "Is this where the festival is."leaves an impression. The final episode's "Why ... why ... why ... why ... why!" is also good. This was Asakura's "last" line in Ryuki. Odai: The "I get irritated" line and "Is this where the festival is" line was so popular t-shirts were made by Premium Bandai. Hagino: This time, not only did we record lines from the TV show, but also from the TV special and the movie too. While recording the like that made me go, "What's this?" was when I shouted in a hero of justice type of way, "We are, Kamen Riders!". This line was from a Terebi-kun special video for all purchasers. Ohja's personality was a polar opposite from the TV show. Odai: That was the one where Zolda and Ohja were saying 'We are comrades of Ryuki!' and fighting alongside joining forces. We were told during the AR dubbing by director Suzumura,"Please for now forget all the stuff that was done on the TV show"(laugh). Hagino: It was a character shift for the spinoff. You can't say stuff like that unless you forget about the TV show (laugh). Finally, Please send your message towards the Ryuki fans who will be purchasing this product! Hagino: Post-Ryuki, I have lent my voice as Asakura/Ohja to various toys and games, etc. but this product here tries to give you the 'sound that is closest to the show that aired at the time'. Thanks to the 'commitment' of trying to bring back that sound from way back, this product ended up being close to bringing the original audio from back then. The product quality is good too, but the sound quality is the best. There is no mistake because I have said it myself. Thank you very much everyone! Odai: I believe those who will purchase this product will mostly be those who miss Kamen Rider Ryuki. Thanks to the sound recording this time, I myself was able to relive the memories of the past. It is crafted with considerable entusiasm, and is a highly-priced item. The unflattering stance of those who are sending this to those who wish to buy the memories of the old days is commendable. I wish that you enjoy this product as a memento.

The monster jingle is going to be a lot of fun at cons, I think.
