Rider time fan subs is up. Not my typical KR cup of tea. Very disjointed and choppy executions + uninteresting cliche villain. It's always a little boy , but this time they try the nostalgic factor. So, kamenrider is just a fiction as well as real in alternate parrallel world dimension universe. Ryotaro didn't even play himself. It's urataros giving the impact ful lines here. Some vet toku alumi reprise their rola via VoiceOver and stock audio. I was expecting something a bit more original and seriously touching with the idea of kamen rider being made up. Zio and the another deno overshadows build here.overall, I feel last year was better at utilizing the cast to its ultimate fan service potential as well as plot wise.

Last year just had a bigger returning cast (not counting the voice-overs). I liked the conflict and action better here, especially with everyone teaming up on the final boss, rather than just dealing with grunts, but even the grunt scenes generally felt better due to the unique team ups and Riders protecting people from the monsters rather than just solo fighting in empty locations.
As far as Build goes, I think the only oddity here is that it's the first time he's appearing while being completely unrelated to the villain, but he still got plenty of neat moments, like breaking the brainwashing, taking over the Time Mazine or his talk about how whether they're real or not it doesn't matter. Kamen Rider exists, then it's erased by Tid when he erased Kuuga, but it survives as fiction due to Shingo being a singularity point. Then Ataru, who is a Rider fan in this erased timeline, makes a contract with an Imagin who brings Riders from imagination to "reality", aiming to stop Shingo's kidnapping. When Tid is defeated at the end, basically everything is restored to normal, which is why you get Zi-O and Build in the standard world when they get back to 2018. |

This was a fun movie, it did what it needed to, which was to be a send off to Heisei Rider, and despite it being a bit head scratching at points, it was still fairly fun.

I have been waiting for so long for the Tridoron to show up during an all-bike scene and I was not disappointed. Just swerves straight through a bunch of mooks. Shinnosuke you absolute madman

I was looking for Ryuki in the scene where everyone's riding their bike, and was sad when I didn't find it.
Only to celebrate moments later when he showed up riding Dragredder, blasting fire. With bonus Drive's Tridoron mowing down many, many, many mooks. What still makes me headscratching is: why Ryotaro needs to be posseseed by Urataros? |

Does this movie make a lick of sense? No, but it does have an epic battle sequence with every rider, so I'll take it.

Bwahahaha, I can't believe how bad the CGI of Kuuga's final kick at the end looked.
I'll probably talk about the rest of movie some other time but I'll leave it to others more articulate than me for now. |

I loved it. I couldn't stop grinning when the riders started showing up to protect the people. And the final battle with all (well most) of the riders in their bikes. And the rider kick-a-thon finisher, yeah I was grinning like the fan boy I am. And the montage at the end showing Shingo and Ataru growing up and being rider fans together was pretty great as well.

Plot is meh but I did love the big action scene. The one thing that really sticks out is how superficial the W and, to a lesser extent, Kuuga parts are.
