Zero-One is all about AIs with androids. Plus the concept had animals & prehistoric creatures.
Wonder how such a series can be a WAY better adaptation than the last two - Black RX & Ryuki. Any ideas on how to make a better story with Zero-One? It needs to have an MCU/DCEU/Arrowverse vibe! Ya gotta have martial arts in it like Power Rangers & VR Troopers do. Last edited by henshinzero; 11-21-2020 at 12:53 PM.. |

To just adapt Zero-One for American audiences, you wouldn't have to change much, all it would take is coming up with English puns for Aruto, which most of the fansubs I've seen already do.
To tell a new story with Zero-One footage would be more difficult. Personally, I wouldn't want a Kamen Rider series to be made like Marvel or DC's live-action stuff, I find those are generally less engaging than Kamen Rider. Last edited by FairyKing; 08-01-2020 at 12:03 PM.. |

Dragon Knight tried this in 2009 but they were picked as there were 13 Riders. Just be sure they don't go over 5 + 1 like Power Rangers.
Power Rangers went into aliens big time. This said I've seen a few Ranger source shows and having done that I'd say try to stick with Toei's story if at all possible. Times have changed since Mighty Morphin in 1993. So maybe it's time to bring the story to the USA. So a direct adaption outright would very likely work. |

Yeah, I'd rather not adapt something, I'd rather just have it made available from the get go.
Especially if there's some logic or reasoning that direct adapting would be the best way to go, at that point just subtitle it and don't adapt it. |

While the idea of adapting it seems neat I think the best overall way to go would be to subtitle it and just stream it like the original series and Kuuga currently are.
Although in a hypothetical adaption I don't think you'd have to change much as opposed to other series since a lot of the themes and settings seem to fit for an American audience as well. The biggest thing is changing a bit of the puns and jokes perhaps. Last edited by Sky Shark; 07-31-2020 at 11:18 PM.. |

What I noticed about Power Rangers as well that in a lot of cases Saban Era I , Jetix and Saban Era II would keep the series plots but swap out motifs so it might depend on the themeifthat would need to change out. Mega Force swapped out the Angel theme.
I'm possibly going to run into this with To Q as the train theme may not work in the USA. So I can sort of see where the Rider project may run into trouble. |

I wanna see Hasbro pursue Zero-One making it in some style of Beast Machines.
For the HumaGears, have them be taking on humans who have passed away or through accidental death. It would be as if they were reborn, but it is their memories that have revived them. HumaGears' keys contain the memories of people who were the best in their field or could've been and have second chances to make better of themselves. |
