I’d say it’s a “to each, their own” kind of thing. A lot of people praise Over-Time, while a few others criticise them for taking a lot of liberties and several seemingly pointless changes (ie. changing the scene where Yoko translates Beet J. Stag into Japanese so she instead translates it into Latin).

Plus, I’ll level with you the story behind my decision to do a Hurricaneger watch thread. I tried watching the show in earnest a while ago, but gave up after episode 7 due to a) the subs deteriorating in quality and b) the aforementioned episode 7 was way out of sync. But when I brought it up on somebody’s Facebook post, he said that if you know anything about Japanese as a language, then any sub becomes pretty terrible. So that was basically the kick in the pants I needed to watch the show in earnest. (Plus, I checked a later episode and that seemed pretty ok).

Depends on what other subs you're comparing them too. Granted, while I haven't watched all of their sub of Zyuranger, what bits of it I did check out were way better than the awful subs I used to watch the show years ago.
