OK. I know that there are likely a good number that didn't like his character but I've always been curious about what most would say about him as a person. For those of you who were very fortunate to have met him in person, what was he like? What did you guys ask and talk about? The only reason why I ask this, I'll just say this much: I'm working on a literary passion project...and I'll be honest here: I'm going to need some help.
Feel free to share your stories. I know it's hard since he's no longer with us. I made an attempt to do a tribute video for him...although...it's a little messy in terms of editing (hey, it's my first time doing it)...and I might consider re-doing the tribute video again once I've gotten editing down and the like. (What I was trying to do was to have it play in the background but not sure of how to have it not as loud and to have my voice be more prominent). I admit that there are some things I recall when he posted on Instagram. There was one post that really got me laughing a bit because...he literally called me out (in a joking manner) and sort of roasted me at the same time. So...what happened was that he once posted a picture of a custom chopper (motorcycle) he had ordered and of course I was admiring the design and all of that. I just simply told him how awesome it looked and that green was my mom's favorite color. He liked my comment of course...and then came something I didn't expect. He told me this: 'I'm surprised that you didn't notice the Green Dragonzord coin on there'. (insert record scratch noise). I was like going 'Wait, WHAT?!'. I did a double take on the picture and...sure enough...it was on the bike. I was laughing so hard and going 'How did I miss that?!' Getting called out on that and roasted by JDF himself. Definitely one that I'll remember as long as I live. The other was during 2020 on New Year's Day when he was on the LOTWD account and he was greeting fans and having a quick chat with them. He also digitally signed the selfies that were taken with those who got to participate. I am forever grateful and lucky I was able to hop on and have a chat with him. Of course I supported the Kickstarter campaign when Legend of the White Dragon got its second wind. |

You're lucky to have met him. Over a year has passed since his tragic death and it's still kind of painful to think about. I never met him, but when I was a kid watching Dino Thunder and reruns of MMPR, Tommy was my hero and he's still my hero even today. Especially knowing how passionate JDF was about the franchise and grateful for all of his fans.

That's exactly what Catherine and Nakia mentioned when they interviewed him some years ago. I even asked Kevin Duhaney (Ethan) on Twitter about some stories and thankfully he shared some bts stuff. [Hoping to write a book myself sometime but this is probably going to be one of my toughest writing challenges because I'll have to try and get in touch with other Rangers and arguably his family as well to get permission]. (There's only 1 book out in circulation but I'm not sure about authenticity (via Amazon)).
