So, Kamen Rider as a franchise has a fair few amount of games. Some of them are 2.5D fighters, some are musou games, and others are strange beat-em' ups with fixed camera angles. A lot of them people cannot play because they're arcade games. That being said, what are your desires for a new Kamen Rider game?

Feel free to share any wishes of characters, plotlines, gameplay mechanics, etc.

Also, feel free to post complaints about previous games (I'm certain I can write an essay on my complicated friendship with the Battride War series).

To get this thread kicked off:

Battride War 2 and Battride War Genesis are pretty close to being games I like, but it's like both entries are missing vital pieces the other holds that make something good. I can't say much for Battride War 1 (never played it), but I really liked how Battride War 2 had a seemingly original plot (not one I could understand, given my low Japanese comprehension) where we recounted a lot of the movies.

It had a lot of diverse locations, some unique boss battles (even if those were really scarce), and I liked how it integrated a lot of the franchise's OST through final forms. On the other hand, it's incredibly grindy because of how often enemies will guard and the sudden difficulty spikes are not fun (looking at you, G3/Garren...).

Genesis on the other hand had much smoother gameplay that was a lot faster than the previous entry. On top of that, the cast was so expansive and each character did feel pretty different to me, even if there were similarities. The Showa cast was a great addition, but both games lack tertiary riders and villains.

I'd love a mix between Battride War 2/Genesis with the budget that 2 clearly had for licensed music/diverse set pieces, but something with the gameplay of Genesis and an expanded cast.

Who knows when we'll see another Battride War... Kamen Rider loves its arena fighters and chibi platformers. Still, I hold out hope for a new hack and slash game!
