I'm curious if they're still going to include Mecha fights.

Welcome back and belated tanjoubi omedetou.

That's a valid concern, and I don't want to get my (or anyone else's) hopes up too high. But on the other hand, Sentai and Rider both have histories of always making the red rangers and main riders male, enough that producers are probably wary of backlash if they made a season with a woman as the central protagonist. Project RED doesn't have that baggage, so it's possible this could open the door for more heroines not just in general but in the leading role!

Do you doubt? It's the biggest selling point of Sentai and a common feature of past Metal Heroes.

We don't yet know exactly what Project Red is (and it will take at least two or three years to figure it out), but I wouldn't throw away the opportunity Red Poitrine to appear. After all, a new franchise is always time for experimentation. Plus, even if we don't get any heroines, the supporting cast and villains will definitely not leave viewers without memorable women.

Welp, as long as we're not getting a red Kikaider, all's well with the world. I mean, by that point, it wouldn't be a hero show, but more of an AI disaster story.
