The Gozyugers are challenged to a No.1 Yokai Battle for the fate of the Kakuranger Ring.

All I'm gonna say is that Sasuke/Ninja Red was indeed the right choice for this two-parter if you consider what kind of red ranger Sasuke was in the 1994 Kakuranger show.

Firstly, I must apologize to Hoeru for accidentally pre-empting his epic speech about unfolding to start over. Honestly, he phrased it way better than I did anyway. "Look at me, I'm a total mess." was an especially awesome line with the usual charmingly blunt delivery. I love how openly he owns being Loser No.1 and proves to Origa Red that Tega Sword was right to choose him as Gozyuger's Red.

I appreciate the clarification from Sasuke that he's not a 10000 year-old Gozyuger universe Sasuke but in fact the OG from the Kakuranger universe who was only recently brought over by Origa Red. Therefore, we can presume this is the case for all mecha that fought in the Universe War and thus there are no continuity errors with Zenkaiger regarding the space between universes.

In addition to being the most experienced and skilled Universe Ranger, Ninja Red is now the one with the most Rings used at 6, beating by twofold the previous record of 3 shared between Don Momotarou and Shinken Red. And since he's also the last Universe Ranger, that means only 4 of them, the other being Lupin Red, have used Rings onscreen. Of course, you guys can look forward to more cool facts like this in my No.1 Statistics that I'll be sharing in a few weeks.

Congrats to Ryugi for finally getting a Ring during his second tenure as Gozyu Tyranno! As PR fans know, where there's dinosaurs, there's ninjas. And just in time for the Gozyuger Battle Royale starting next week....

Looks like they're going to agree on a bracket system, which is much fairer than a wild west free-for-all considering how Hoeru has half of the Rings. At least one of the others will get a mild chance at seriously challenging him. While they remember they're rivals, they cannot forget the strong friendship they've forged after all. The first bracket will be between Gozyu Eagle and Unicorn, so I'll declare now that I'll be backing Kinjirou FTW in this No.1 Battle between the two.

Overall, this Ninja/Origa Red arc has been my favorite of the show so far and I'm excited to see how the final arc will resolve for the Gozyugers and the lonely Fire Candle.

Agreed. I recall Ogawa said how he got chosen for the role of Sasuke by being the least Red-like in auditions, including showing up late.
