For anybody who has seen it already: how connected to the original Gavan does it seem so far?
Trying to decide if I should try to binge it and then catch up when I'm done, or just hop on now and watch the original Gavan down the line (the latter of which seems to be much easier and more likely )

We still get a kind of "Laser Blade" and Gavan Dynamic Finisher. There's apparently still a "Makuu Space." The eyecatch has a similar theme to the OG. |

I was lucky in that I watched it last summer and when Infinity was announced I jumped on and finished watching Sharivan and Shaider before the premier. The Space Sheriff trilogy turned out to be one of my favorite Toku watch throughs. |

You can go in blind, at least as far as ep 1 is concerned Infinity is only aesthetically connected to the original series.

I think I'll probably watch Gavan Infinity weekly and go back to the older ones later on when I want to see where it all came from. Side note, I think it's interesting that Metal Heroes was essentially the "new Kamen Rider" when it first started, but now it's the "new Sentai" essentially becoming a connecting bridge between the two ends of the Toei tokusatsu spectrum.
