Alright! Finally made it to the Shinken Gold debut.
Have to say, I am incredibly impressed by the fighting style they chose for him. It's marvelous (pun intended). Putting aside that, I really do like how the series focuses on every aspect of the characters and how they're growing. The Kuroku episode was certainly one of my favourite, because I'm a fan of when superhero shows go out of the way to explain the little things. Where do the civilians go? How do they get their costumes on in such short time? A lot of these little details really make their world feel alive even though compared to say a Kamen Rider series we spend far less time in that world with the MOTW episodes. There is heavy emphasis with each "act" on making the characters stand out and saying something about them, and plots don't just conclude right then and there; character arcs are still on-going. It's quite the watch so far and I'm glad I chose it as my first Sentai.

I wanted to see Don Momotarou's matsuri gang get a focus episode like the kurokos did, but too bad it never happened.
