As always: a solid, simple episode with a hammy villain and cool action. I still think Setsuna is such a peak Metal Hero sort of character for the modern era, a sad robot who tries to find their place in the world and struggles to accept their own emotions.

A good episode. Although the first two episodes took place on Setsuni Earth beforehand, they were filled with new information, so it's great to return and experience another adventure here, in a calmer setting. Furthermore, the viewer truly gets to know Commissioner Amo, Setsuni's superior. Their relationship is interesting and touching. Gavan Bushido himself is also revealed more, trying to find his way and understand what kind of hero he should be. After all, following orders and doing the right thing aren't always the same. I also want to point out how sinister he was at the beginning of the episode.
The villain was also good. The sword-obsessed alien with living hair created a lot of interesting action. And he and his motivations don't steal the spotlight from the positive characters or feel relegated to the background, as they did in the third episode. So, Cattana is the perfect antagonist for this story. And next week, we'll return to Kiki's Land for a story about an alien mother and daughter. And we'll also see a new mech. I can't wait. |
