Agito largely defined the franchise's development, laying the foundation for complex character relationships, ambiguous motives, and a convoluted overarching plot. While it was clumsy in some areas, overdone in others, the overall result is satisfying. Plus, it's Inoue's show, meaning it has its own fan base. And the design is cool.

Obviously something like a Kuuga or Den-O movie would be much more popular. But their stars are much more difficult to get a hold off. Depending on how well this does, it could pave the way for those movies to happen at some point. |
