ZyuRanger? Is someone other than Nihon subbing it?
BTW, Shocker, that is a typo. It was supposed to say the Japanese do not know how to write an ending for ****. Look at things like Utena, Wolf's Rain, Gilgamesh, Big O, Evangelion, RahXephon, Kamen Rider Ryuki, the endings make no sense and just cop out rebooting the universe instead of actually coming up with a conclusion. Other series just tend to leave the ending open ended with no resolution, no true conclusion, etc. DaiRanger, DekaRanger, the first Fullmetal Alchemist series, Dragonball Z and Trinity Blood are examples of this. Other times they seem to not know how to do a final battle with the main villain and just do it in a half assed way. Many Toku shows do this. Kamen Rider Black, Goseiger, AbaRanger, and many Ultraman shows do this. I can honestly count the number of Japanese series that had fully satisfying conclusions on my fingers and maybe a toe, but I don't believe I need to go beyond my fingers. In fact, let me count: CarRanger Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters Code Geass Cowboy Bebop Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood Boogiepop Phantom Death Note Oban Star Racers Golion Macross Gankutsuou Speed Grapher Okay, so there are 12 series I can think of, so I would need my toes. I stand somewhat corrected.

No they didn't. Hi No Tori have subbed 35 episodes of Gingaman and will probably finish it way before any of TV-Nihon's projects (except maybe Megaranger).

Evangelion had an ending, Kain. And a damn good one. I've only seen a handful of Sentai and Kamen Rider shows, so I'm adding Power Rangers to my list of what has had a decent ending.
Kamen Rider Fourze: Very good ending to this. It was emotional, it closed all the plotlines through the series, and it was beautifully written. Despite Libra going down like a punk. Power Rangers Mystic Force: The finale was so good that when she closed the book, and it said The End, the entire franchise could've closed there and I'd been very satisfied. More PR shows need to end as well as this one did. Yea, that's all I have. Decade didn't have an ending, Goseiger could've done a little better, and Power Rangers has been hit and miss. |

You could sit through the pretentious garbage that was Evangelion? Huh. I just assumed it ended with Eva or Eve or whatever it was staring down an enemy for 30 straight minutes while Shinji cried in a corner in an attempt to be avant garde.
Anyway, Kain point was about Japanese series, so Mystic Force and PR in general don't count. And Fourze's ending wasn't very strong. Gamou was redeemed because Fourze wanted to be friends with him, despite hospitalizing and ruining various students' lives and murdering others? Kengo's magic return, and everything being hunky dory a-ok. It just seemed to squeaky clean, and considering it had tons of great story arcs that weren't just silly fun, it seemed out of place for a resolution and ending.

I didn't mind Fourze having a happy ending, but it definitely was a flawed conclusion.

No, actually it ends with about 60 minutes of characters having deep introspective moments on crayon and pencil backgrounds because the show ran out of money. It is hilarious.

Spoken like a man who's never sat down and watched the whole series, or the movies. "You like Geki? It's just GekiRed bouncing for thirty minutes while they accidently beat a monster lolz"
And there was more to Fourze than that. Alot more. What you did, on both counts, was simplify the series down to fit your point. I'd rather herald Decade as a shining work of art before I finish that crap. If I hated everything I was looking at in Evangelion, why should I have finished it? I wanted to watch Shinji get his face kicked in. I wanted to watch Asuka get skewered and burned alive (Though her death scene? Beautiful. That needed to happen to everyone. One of the OVAs should've just been watching Asuka die for an hour), I loathed Shinji's father, and I can't remember if I hated Rei or if I was just indifferent to her. And I didn't simplify Fourze's ending. What, did you expect me to give a play-by-play of the fight? Gamou was redeemed for his despicable actions on the sole basis that Gen wanted to be his friend in the end. It was Fourze's sparing of him that caused him to rethink his actions.
