I've really fallen for Blue Dolphin from Liveman's design.

I question your sanity I'm sorry. I just honestly don't see it. The problem is they were so close, they really were. For me, Sentai Suits start with the helmet. You get that right you get everything right. And these helmets.. Just no. The train tracks across the visors kill it. Kill it dead. |

Might as well add my thoughts while my cheese sticks are heating up:
Gorangers: Sure they were the first suits but they have a retro charm to them that I like. You can't go wrong with the basics sometimes and ol' Goranger still holds up rather well. Flashman: For some reason the main color of each Ranger go well with how the black and white are placed. Liveman: The animal motifs don't overpower the suit design and they're just fun to look at. A design that has held up quite well over the years. Jetman: Like JonTron I enjoy birds, but not to his decree. It's distinct and hey White and Blue are awesome Sentai heroine designs. Ohranger: An interesting mix of military and fantasy make the Ohranger suit stand out. The visors being simple shapes can be a letdown to some, but it add a strange charm to them. Hurricanger: No offense to the Kakurangers, but these suits scream "Shiny badass ninja!" to me. Bonus points to the Gorahgers for having suits that are well designed and go well with the first three suits without clashing. Dekaranger: There's something cool about these suits. They have a police theme and a fashionably neat design with one arm being the main color and the other black. Really kicking visors round these guys out. Shinkenger: Just a really nice looking suit. It has samurai overtones that mesh well with the standard Ranger suit. Did I mention I LOVE their power up coat? Tokkuger: This series seems to champion imagination and these suits have it in spades. It's a love it or hate it affair with this, but I shall admit it's grown on me. I'll get to my least favs and the stand alones later. |
