Unless I suddenly became Saban, they are irrelevant to the matter at hand. The question isn't "What if you became the owner of Saban Entertainment," but if the Power Rangers franchise just up and falls into your hands.
Saban. Doesn't. Matter. What is the point of any of this? Who cares? What kid would go "HEY! THIS IS DYNAMAN BECAUSE I REMEMBER THE 6 EPISODE, 25 YEAR OLD GAG DUB OF IT!"? What makes JAKQ's playing card motif confusing? What makes Gorenger so impossible to use? Why does Sun Vulcan's suit materials matter? All I said was, if I somehow owned the Power Rangers franchise, I'd create a series of miniseries to tie the 15 prior Sentai in to the PR mythos. Zordon's war against evil, Rita, and Zedd has been noted to range on for thousands of years across the cosmos, which is ripe to be explored. I figured, perhaps the Dino Rangers (Which Ninjor basically created, since he made the Power Coins) weren't Zordon's first team, and perhaps the past Sentai could fill in the gap as well as explain Zordon's entirely unexplored history. I also wanted them to be miniseries, only explaining the teams' histories, not their entire adventures and tenure as the X-Rangers. 10-15 episode stories detailing their formation, how their powers came to be and their connection to Zordon. Move on before we see what happens to them and their end to leave space open for more adventures, but not dwelling on them for too long. All I'm trying to do is have fun, think of the various ways the past Sentai could be changed and fit into the PR universe. How Zordon made the Gorengers, or perhaps if they influenced Zordon to make more Power Rangers throughout the universe, which is why I'd create miniseries' if I owned the franchise to explore that. But no, you take this shit way to seriously. Now I have to deal with the logistics of "What if a kid doesn't know what an ace of spades is? We can't have that. Only have Big One" or "Turboranger has the word "Turboranger" appear. It wouldn't work. Axe it." |

Yes. The entire point.
No, you don't. You've clearly and concisely proven that you don't. Quote:
If I were actually writing and producing what I wanted, then yes. But I'm some schmuck posting on a forum of what I'd like to do if I got my hands on the franchise. Those details are meaningless because there is no reason to follow them because I'm not actually writing the story in any capacity. Quote:

If anything, Ninja Steel would be the one protested, because ninjas are violent media. Quote:
Here are the Turborangers. I see no reason why they'd need to have modified suits. No, you don't. Quote:

Do I particularly like Super Megaforce and what it did (save for some of the villains)? Not particularly! Only a few episodes were truly decent. But I push those feelings aside and take the established work as it stands and try to make sense of it and peace with it.
All I wanted to do was to put the pre-Zyu Sentai into Power Rangers' continuity. You have taken this far too seriously. Quote:
The fuck. Did I ever say I was doing that? Clearly I'm not. Quote:
Saban doesn't matter. The point of the question is what I would do. Not Saban. Not Disney. Not Lynn. Not anyone but myself. It is a purely theoretical situation. I don't need to worry about the logistics. I don't need to concern myself about continuity errors (Something that Saban seems perfectly keen to make in his own fucking show, but suddenly when I propose a theory, I have to be squeaky fucking clean). I don't care. Quote:
To put things absolutely bluntly. What the fuck do you want from me?

I'm forced to admit that now.

I would never try to take someone's love for the franchise away! That is unintended. Quote:

I've seen 'em. That's why I said things. It's why Mighty Morphin' Morphers said "Power Rangers" and not "Zyuranger". Megaforce was lazy. Can't do that again. Quote:

It's an irrelevant point. I'm pretty fucking sure every Sentai and Rider are still cyborgs because otherwise it wouldn't be following Ishinomori's original work.

The fact that you're taking a theoretical situation proposed for the fun of "What if a fan got to own Power Rangers" this seriously makes it plain as fucking day that you're missing something. Then to go and make assumptions that my proposed idea, which hasn't been elaborated on in the slightest, is going to exclude or eradicate the continuity of other series with absolutely no base to make that reasoning, along with the idea that I'm "Picking and choosing" what continuity to follow or intentionally excluding others, once again, with no ground, all while trying to insinuate that I have to follow the great god haim saban's vision without steering too far or something is bringing my blood to a boil.
Nothing. I asked for too much already. You have your plan, and I have mine. Maybe someone will explore them to some extent one day. Last edited by TokuKnight89; 08-05-2016 at 06:40 PM.. |

I think if I ran Power Rangers, I'd have a season take place in Michigan for once, instead of "California stand in #183238747583758373847485758."

Which Power Rangers season had a better morphing scene/sequence than their source material?
Personally I like Lightspeed Rescue's. The music really helps.

I like Dino Thunder's. I think the flip is a little cooler than just spinning in place, personally.

I'd have to say Ninja storm because all of the rangers had similar yet different morphs.

To answer Sunred's question: I always liked the Lost Galaxy, Lightspeed Rescue, Ninja Storm, and Turbo morphs.
